SSR 125 suspension upgrade

Hey everyone, I'm looking to upgrade the suspension on my SSR 125. The stock suspension is too soft and riding on trails is a little rough. I had a few questions about what parts to buy.

I weigh about 150lb for reference.

For the forks I want to buy these springs from TB and use heavier fork oil like 15W or 20W. Will these springs fit my bike? If so will these springs help or will just the oil suffice?

For the rear shock I wanted to get the DNM KLX110L 350 shock. Or would the DNM KLX110 250 be better for my size? Will the 250 fit since it's 270mm instead of 275mm?

Feel free to give me any other advice as well.

Thanks

Make the fork oil level about 100mm from the top of the tube with the spring out and fork compressed. As for the preload spacers try looking at Lowes in the nut and bolt isle. Get a pair of nylon spacers 1x3/8x3/8" and place one in each fork tube on top of the spring before you replace the fork cap. This will stiffen the spring rate of the progressive fork springs.
On the shock as I remember the length is 275mm but you'll need about a 800lbs in spring. That's about what the stock spring is. Try adjusting the preload to get about 2" of sag with you sitting on it. For reference my son has the 110 (same shock) and weighs 75lbs. He runs a 400lb/in spring.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I think I'm just going to go with heavier fork oil and spacers for the front forks and the DNM 900lb rear shock. That should be good for riding trails, I'm not doing any serious racing/jumping.

I realize the SSR is not a serious bike but it's all I could buy at the time and now i'm slowly upgrading it. I will probably invest in some better forks in future and then a piranha 140 engine.
