I was going to do something similar with my ttr. Easiest option would be to have spacers machined to go between the ttr bearings and the fast ace stem. That way you don't have to worry about races in the head tube

 

How about having the triple trees drilled to accept the ttr steering stem? And having it pressed in?

 

ktm forks are a pretty easy swap, replace bottom bearing with a bearing easily obtainable and machine a spacer for the top. using the ktm stem.

are the steering stems close to the same length? what are the o.d measurements for the lower bearings for the two stems? I spent a lot of time looking on the internet trying to find bearings for my ktm swap. I could only find one for the lower, maybe you will be lucky enough to find one for the lower as well . the lower bearing I used came from autozone it was for some ford transfer case or something. LOL

 

Yea the shaft are close to the same length. The bearing id for the ttr i believe is 25mm. And the ID for the fastace stem is 22.5 top and 23.85mm for the bottom

 

I'm looking at putting the 730mm Fast Ace forks on my ttr110. Looking at pressing the ttr stem into the clamps. Pretty sure the clamp will have to be bored but not a big issue. Where I'm having issues is with what swingarm to go with and the best brake/wheel combo. Any help would be great!

 

What swing arm are you using,and was it hard to make fit and that front forks is Ktm correct ?

 

2003 ktm 65 forks and a cheap Chinese swinger with some spacers made and different bearings. the upper shock mount is the hardest part of it all
