YX140 oil cooler

I started flat track racing my SDG with YX140 motor so I thought I should add an oil cooler. I don't like the complicated hoses and upper mount type so I made a head mounted one from the original link banjo fittings and some copper tube and sheet. Silver soldered it all together and ran it, one tube is much cooler than the other so it is working. Simple and light.

Great job, but maybe its just me but I wouldn't of painted it. I think it looks great natural copper with silver weld not to mention it probably cools a bit better raw. But to each his own

I wasn't going to paint it but copper turns nasty looking after awhile and even worse around silver solder joints. Also, not visible, there is a rubber bumper on the little tab on the far side that damps it against the head so it won't vibrate and crack (hopefully).

Clear coat it! I think it looks fabulous. (Yes I said fabulous in a moto fourm lol) it's a shame your fine craftsmanship doesn't get to scream at people's eyes to get them to look, and appreciate. Just my $0.02
