did your 140 come with a lighting coil? if not, you may have to transplant it from your other engine if it will fit

If I were you I would pop the stator off the 50cc motor so that way you dont have to Re-wire everything. Thats What I was doing swapping motors out of my scoot.

If you tried running the stock carb it prolly would rev extremely fast to like 4,000 rpm then be flat.

Could I really do it?!!!

ill give it a shout. Do I just remove the clutch cover from the 50cc & swap the wiring? Same with the spark plug wire?

Also, do I need to adjust the timing on the new motor? It came with the clutch cover off

p.s

Sorry 4 the dumb questions

you mean it came with the flwheel cover off.......you should be able to remove your flywheel (with the appropraite tool of course) and swap out the stator backing plates with all the electrical still connected ...use the 140's flywheel though....could have the pick-up coils firing tab in a different spot than the 50........

Thanks for all the help^^

I went to Minigunnz today to get the stator swaped from my 50cc engine. It was easy, but we came across a problem. The flywheel did not fit, so Jeff from Minigunnz ending up swaping the flywheel hub. BIG Props to Jeff from Minigunnz

Super Pumped... almost done

All I need is a Intake Kit, Pipe, clutch lever, and a few more parts

Going to put this project aside due to College Finallys This week & next week:(:(

Today I dropped by a China Pit Bike Shop to scope out some pipes & ended up buying one for $50 new

The pipe can go behind the rear suspention, but stock header won't fit. So, I was thinking about getting a bracket to hook up outside rear suspention to the stock header.

What would you peepz suggest doing?

But don't try this until AFTER you take your calculus final.:-x

LOLOL:D

Your Right, putting it aside again...man! the I just want to work on it lol...

Well back to the books

Thanks for the info about cutting. Going to try to mount it to the rear suspentions for now, and try to get the motor running. Later I hope to mod the pipe.

Thanks for the help Todd!

I would get another pipe (just from my experience) When I first did my motor swap I used the exact pipe from PCC motor as a cheap fix. It has poor bends, a VERY sharp heat shield and it sounded like a 450 on my 125. With the 150, yours will be even louder. If you plan on streeting this beast, you may consider another option. The extra money will be worth the difference in quality and performance.

I am excited to see video once its done! Great work.
