4v head VS. Big 2 valve head

I come from the race car world where if you could put a 4v head on something it would probably make alot more power. Seems like from some reading Ive done people say the v2 roller head with 2 oversized valves are better than 4v heads. Why is this? Or is it mis-information? The engine in the 110L is coming apart very soon for the case bore, so I want to make sure I put the best head on top of the 165 kit with a stroker crank.

That is true of the Chinese produced 4V heads. They take a lot of work to make good power. The Japanese 4V heads are a different animal altogether and make really good power. With that being stated, the TB V2 head is a great alternative to spending loads of cash on a proper Japanese made (rr built to a Japanese based company's specs) head. Good 4Vs make craploads of top end and rev to the moon.

If you are just bolting the head on, either one work ok. If you are building an engine and want the most performance out of it. The 2V head is a cheaper way to do it.

The 4V combustion chamber needs alot of work because the valves are so shrouded and the port design is less than desirable and needs quite a bit of epoxy to flow right.

If you want bling factor, roll the 4 valve but if you want performance. 2 is where it's at.
