I'm going through a bit of trouble with my z155 2013 ho. I'm currently setting my valves & i'm a bit stuck.

Yep! I set mine cold. .006 is way too loose, drop to. 003-.004 and your tapping will clear up. I've ran those specs on 3 155z/ho stock heads, and also currently run it in my V2. Haven't had a valve issue to date (knock on wood) lol
But is that imperial or metric, because when i look at my feeler gauges the 0.03 feels like it's thinner than paper. I set mine to .10 on the outlet and i heard a huge tapping noise, took it down to .8 and it seem a tiny bit better, my inlet in on 0.08 and that seems fine to me?
Also off topic, anyone know what main i should be running on my Genuine VM 26 with a z155 because my 170 main absolutely drains my fuel.
