I'm going through a bit of trouble with my z155 2013 ho. I'm currently setting my valves & i'm a bit stuck.

Someone said here:

Yep! I set mine cold. .006 is way too loose, drop to. 003-.004 and your tapping will clear up. I've ran those specs on 3 155z/ho stock heads, and also currently run it in my V2. Haven't had a valve issue to date (knock on wood) lol

But is that imperial or metric, because when i look at my feeler gauges the 0.03 feels like it's thinner than paper. I set mine to .10 on the outlet and i heard a huge tapping noise, took it down to .8 and it seem a tiny bit better, my inlet in on 0.08 and that seems fine to me?

Also off topic, anyone know what main i should be running on my Genuine VM 26 with a z155 because my 170 main absolutely drains my fuel.

the .003" and .004" are thousandths of an inch in measurement.

.003" = 0.0762 millimeters

.004" = 0.1016 millimeters
Right as im being a retard i just want to make sure that im correct on this one.
So my feeler gauge says 0.03 and 0.04 not .003 .004?
And i will be setting my inlet to 0.03 and my exhaust to 0.04? Correct?

Go buy a new set of gauges that have .003"-.004". They aren't very expensive and available at your local auto parts store.

I will order them tonight but i have planned on going out tomorrow on the bikes. I already have x3 sets of feeler gauges, metric & imperial.
I just need to know what you lot are saying (.003 & .004) is on my gauges.

Those gauges Tbolt has are the ones that I use for my 2013 155Z. Tbolts Tech Data also has the specs listed. I believe intake. 003. Exhaust. 005 if Im remembering correctly. In very cold weather Im running 20pilot 185main screw 1.5-1.75 turns out on my Vm26. Running like a champ.

Yeah i think i'm going to try .003/.004 first. I dont know if it makes a huge difference but i'm in the UK?
Also i put a #25 pilot on today and it didn't like it at all, i'm running a 170 main.

Update:
Just ordered some double ended feeler gauges at. 003 and. .004

Does anyone know for the meantime what that will be for my current gauges I have now in metric? Mine go up to 0.03 to 1mm,just need to know roughly what one I need to use until mine comes in the post?

Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it.
