YCF Big Mini Pit bike - 17"/14" wheels, Daytona 190cc engine, 10" travel fork, etc

I think this bike would be the perfect "bigger mini". It's made by YCF and the model is called "Big Mini" comes with different engine sizes and components, but they all have 17" front and 14" rear wheel. The top of the line "big mini" model comes with a Daytona Anima 190cc 4 valve engine, Engi Front Forks 780mm in length (instead of 730mm like normal midsize pit bike forks), Elka rear shock, etc.

Looks like it would be an awesome "mini bike" for riding on full size mx tracks and would probably be a better alternative to a lot of the "bigger minis" we see people making on here like klx125/kx85, xr100/cr85, ttr125/yz85, etc suspension conversions and big bore kits. These trails bikes (klx125, ttr125, xr100, etc) used for the conversions are usually heavy and slow and even with bore kits most of these trail bike engines are still limited with how much power you can get out of them, especially when compared to the hop up potential of klx110 engines or yx160 pit bike engines. I bet the daytona 190cc anima puts out more power stock then you could get out of the most hopped up klx140, ttr125, xr100 engine. Plus the frame on this bike is probably way stronger and the bike as a whole is most likely way lighter too.

I have seen other chinese pit bikes with 17"/14" wheels and they usually look akward like the wheels are way too big for the bike and it looks like all they did is take the standard midsize pit bike and swap the wheels. This YCF model is one of the first ones I have seen (besides the pitster lxr fourteen) that doesn't look akward and seems like the frame, swingarm, fork etc. are actually sized correctly for the bigger 17"/14" wheelset.

The only issue is I haven't seen any YCF pit bikes, or this "big mini" model available anywhere in the US. Does anyone have experience with these YCF bikes? Is the quality as good as they look online? Any dealers in the USA? If not, is there any YCF dealers overseas that would ship to the USA?

Pretty cool bikes, and its like they were all ready to come to the states, based on their pics of american riders, and companies, but it never happened? I like the fact that they have a catalog with all replacement parts listed, which is like pulling teeth from some of the other brands. Too bad theyre not available here.

I agree. They have a really good selection of replacement parts (which appear to be high quality) and I like how almost every bike part is available in 6-8 different colors. For example, just for the wheels, you can choose 6-8 different colors for the hubs, spoke nipples, and wheel spacers. You have color options for the triple clamps, plastics, seat covers, footpegs, engine dress up kits, shifters, levers, etc. It would be really awesome if some of the companies in the US offered this (like Pitster, or Piranha, etc.) but I'm guessing there isn't a big enough market over here for pit bikes to make something like that worth while.

Ya this 17"/14" big wheel YCF pit bike is not even an official YCF model. It's only available thru Russian YCF dealers unfortunately, otherwise I would probably order one. Big wheeled pit bikes seem to be popular over there because I was looking at a couple online pit bike shops that are located in Russia and a large percentage of the pit bikes they sold were 17"/14". There were also some Pitster models with 17"/14" wheels that I have never seen before.

I wish more companies here made pit bikes that were built for 17"/14" wheel set (and not just a mid size pit bike that have bigger wheels which look stupid). I think it's the perfect size for riding on big bike tracks. Something with an open cradle frame and designed to accept a horizontal xr50/pit bike based motor due the easy, cheap and relatively light weight high horsepower engines available (Daytona anima engines or yx160cc with mods). Also a pit bike with a larger frame, swing arm, plastics, seat etc designed for the larger wheels so the bike doesn't look redicullus like most big wheeled pit bikes (maybe use the plastics, seat, frame geometry etc from a 85cc two smoke mx bike like the kx85. The newly designed 2014+ kx85's look awesome! I think it's The only 85cc jap bike that has updated plastics.

pitster was off to a good start with the Lxr fourteen but then they stopped producing it. I dunno why?? The only thing it needed to be better IMO is a longer 10" travel fork, and different plastics that actually fit the bike (the stock ones looked way too smaller which they were being designed from a ttr110).

but if no company has produced a bike like this yet, then it probably will never happen. So I'll keep working on my Pitster Lxr that I am trying to turn into my "big wheeled mini" dream bike. All I need is that extended Lxr fourteen swing arm ;). Let me know when u get those in stock..

By the way, have you guys ever considered becoming a dealer for YCF?? You would be the only USA dealer (I think) and they have an awesome variety of different colored pit bike pieces that will fit many other standard pit bikes.
