Had I known this before the purchase I would have just gotten my daughter a crf and forgot about electric start. I cannot believe that yamaha would stoop so low and put a solid reputation on the line to save a few bucks.

Sure Yamaha is making money, that's what they're supposed to do, right?

Chinese mini products have come a llloooonnnnngggggggg way. Look at the

Pitster Pro, that bike is probably the baddest, biggest bang for your buck!!!!

I didn't know the TTR50 was made in China before now, but who cares, I

haven't read anything overly bad about them yet. Pretty smart Yamaha!

Just cause its made in china don't mean its shit. They are still made by people, and people are people, like just cause a person is chinese don't mean they gonna make a crap bike and a japanese person is gonna make a sweet bike. Its weird how you guys assume parts are crap because it was made in china.

You didnt know that they were made in china?

Anyways, i just saw a thread a day or two ago talking about the ttr's quality. Apperently, the ttr has been much reliable then the xr.

Some guy said he went for 4 months of bashing and not have a single thing break?

And, somthing else about how he put the 88 on the stock clutch, and the stock clutch held up fine on his ttr?

All i have heard is good things about it so far.

Look for yourself...

I'm an oldschool guy that grew up in the seventies, back then anything made in Japan was considered "Japan junk". Now the Jap bikes are the best you can get. Same thing is happening with China, a few years ago their stuff was a little rough but now it's looking pretty good and getting better every day.

The world is going to go where it can get stuff made better and cheaper, China is the new hot bed of manufactuing, they are fast learners and are kicking ass.

I predict that in a few years we will be saying that China makes the best stuff.

all the BS about how china stuff sucks and now that yamaha uses china stuff the quality good a? more BS. anyway if you build a ttr insted of a crf or klx your the dummy anyway.

Yamaha's Chinese Plant is still a Yamaha plant. Because it is in China doesn't mean that Yamaha's quality is affected. You still have all the same quality control quidelines and specs that it must meet before the bike is allowed to come out of the factory. Please use your heads and don't compare them to the chinese knockoffs manufactured from second hand designs and low grade metals. They are nowhere near eachother in the pitbike world.

I believe alot of folks would be suprised where stuff is made.Isnt the crf150/230 made in brazil?Just because it says made in china does not make it crap.

Are you aware that honda use's some parts made in china? It want be long and china will be producing good quality bikes, they get closer every day...JC

has anyone touched the subject on here yet? WTF, its been out for over a year now and i have never heard anything about it.

It's been on here a couple times since the beginning of the year, different people have said it was made in china. Kawasaki oem parts are made in thailand i believe. If it works don't knock it. China is on it's way up it seems.

My7 biggest thing is thinking about the economy and how big of military china has, I would rather send my money to an allye like japan rather then somebody who I am sure will be making war with us soon.

THats the reason im dissapointed about it being produced in china. I would rather not support a communist country that in reality is our enemy. Im not really to concerned with the quality and durability because i know that parts will be available and easy to obtain if by chance anything should break.

why feed the dog to make it bigger, cause when he bites its going to be harder.
Doesnt matter when the dog doesnt have any teeth;)

I dont think china is really in the position to even consider waging war on the USA(or anybody for that matter) lmao.
