So I was bored at work and just looking around at the different bore kits and other s**t available for the xr100 since I'm in the middle of building a Bbr cr85 conversion bike (although I was planning on running a cff150f engine). I came across this Japanese motorcycle online shop that has TOnS of aftermarket parts for the xr100 (or ape 100 or nsf100 which they sometimes call it) that I have NEVER seen before. Such as:

Daytona 4 valve head and 145cc stroker kit for only $1,100 (kitaco was the only other company I was aware of that made a 4 valve head for xd100 and it was a DOHC for a hefty $2500).

DAYTONA : 4V-OHC Head Big Bore Kit (124cc) [64220]

kitaco "super cross transmission and hD kick start gears" which is the weak point on the xr100 as many of u know . The other kitaco transmissions I've seen have been geared for road racing so I'm hoping this one will be better for motocross

NECTO : 6 Super speed Cross mission KitSUZUKASpecialWPC specification [010-505-009]

plus they have a bunch of bore and stroker and head kits from this company called "up shift" which I've never heard of but their prices seem good (around $750 for 145cc stroker kit with aftermarket head). Plus tons of yoshimura kits and takegawa and kitaco that I've never seen before. Here's a generally link to the parts. chexk it out!!!

I have had the chance to see 2 of those 4v heads in person. Unfortunately I didn't get to do any Testing with them. Here's my 2 cents on them. fit and finish is the same as you would see with their 2v heads. My biggest complaint with the head is that they didn't do a bearing cam and it maintains the use of the stock cam tower. Not are very limiting factors. As spiz5 has had happen to him with his 2v head can also happen with this 4v due to poor cam design. The nice thing about the kit the cam cover is a shower cover so this helps aid in the fight against scorched journals. The cam tower really hinders how aggressive you can get with cam grinds. I absolutely love 4v heads and in my testing through the years they have always made more power over the 2v counter parts but.... What most guys neglect to take into consideration is easy bolt on performance parts are slim to none for 4v applications plus rebuilds will cost you at least double over a 2v If not more cause now you have 4 valves, 4 retainers etc... With the 2v heads you can easily source pistons from other applications as a replacement piston or as a even bigger bore than offered. The 100 uses a 14mm wrist pin which drastically reduces piston section then throw 4v on top of that and it's next to never to find an off the shelf piston. Again I haven't tested this head only got to port 1 and assemble 1. But if I had to make a prediction I would say it would yield 1-2 hp over the 2v counter part and would be very similar/close to a +R of the same cc.

Ive never seen that 4V head either. I also didnt see anything about the HD kick gears?
My wife leaves for China on Monday, then takes a cruise to Japan. I have her searching out pricing on a Yosh kit for me. I currently have a Kitaco 145se, with scored cam journals and Im petrified to kickstart the damn thing.
