Trying to find a set of dual sport tires for a 1983 Honda XL80S...but I'm having a REALLY hard time finding anything.

Stock was
-2.5x16 front Bridgestone Trailwing
-3.0x14 rear Bridgestone Trailwing

The stock front tires ARE available. But the rears are not.

Best I could find for a true Dual Sport tire in those baby sizes are from Shinko. The Shink 244 Series. The problem is the rear is narrower than stock...and the front is wider than stock. So it's a bit of a mullet setup with the front larger than the rear. Not ideal.

Shinko 244 Series
2.75-14
3.00-16

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Looks like the Honda CRF80's have almost the same OEM size wheel...but they are NOT street legal/dual sport wheels.

Not sure what the OEM brand is on these...but here are the Honda PN's incase anyone ever is looking...

Are DOT/street legal tires a requirement where you live and ride?
Anytime you ride what looks like a dirt bike on the road...the cops seem to give you a hard time.

One time I was stopped for 30 minutes (doing nothing) because my bike 'looked' liked a dirt bike. The cops were happy and let me know after they confirmed I hade brakes on my bike lol. So yea...they can be funny.

The only thing I came up with (incase anyone else is looking for tires for this bike) is the OEM Honda XR80/CRF80 tires. Get them at the dealer for $150 each...or direct from IRC for about $50 each.

They are a goofy size and from what I can find the ONLY fit that's close to OEM with no clearance issues.
