Hey guys i have a used 110l, its a stock motor with pro circuit pipe. The guy before me put a 16-49 ratio. Its not the best ratio. It has a lot of "Off the start power, but when it comes to top speed, it lacks. So whats the best ratio i should run, while keeping my front 16? Let me know

Stock rear sprocket is 38t front is13t. If you are running a 16t in the front keep in mind every tooth bigger in the front is like going a tooth and a half smaller in the rear. You need to do something though. 49 is WAY too big in the rear. Even with a 16t front. Its geared for some tight indoor stuff or someone that didn't know any better. If you are going to leave the 16 in the front I would go with a 33 or 34 in the rear. Just for comparison sake: I am running a 110L with a stroked 155 motor and I have the stock front sprocket and a 33 on the rear. I am only suggesting you put a 33 or 34 on the rear with a stock motor because you are running 3 more teeth in the front than stock.

Yes - what he said. And I was off - its not 1.5t smaller "feel" on the rear for every tooth bigger in front its 2.5 as stated above. I would go around a 33 as well.

Im highly confused?? The guy is trying to get as close to 13/38 (stock) as possible and youre telling him to go up on the countershaft and down on the rear (from stock gearing).. going up on the front/down on the back "lengthens" the gears and going down on the front/up on the rear "shortens" them.. why would he go lower than a stock rear after going up 3 on the front? 16/38 is equivalent to running a 13/30.5ish.. and youre telling him to drop his rear sprocket more?

His current setup is16/49 (must love wheelies in 3rd)
Stock is 13/39, he wants close to stock while still keeping the 16 on the front. Up 1 on the front is 2.5 on rear. So hes up three on the front from stock so he needs to go down 6-7 on the rear to get stock gearing back

you need a 47 in the rear to pretty much equal a 13/38 with a 16 on the front, so go up or down from there. (38/13)*16=46.76923. I found on my L I needed to add 2 teeth to the rear to get 2nd gear into action sooner so I'm running 13/40. to equal that (40/13)*16=49.2. I would go down to 47 on yours. That said I checked faster-minis.com and the biggest they have is 43. Good luck
