what kind of brush should i use to get it off? Where can i find this stuff? Autozone?

 

stripper wont take off the ignition cover coating (at least not on my '06) i had to sandblast it.

 

Once i use aircraft stripper or whatever to get the black off , will it rust or do i need to spray it with something?



Should I use a brillo pad?

 

i doubt aircraft stripper will take the black off of that cover. probably need media blasting

 

it's aluminum it wont rust, if you sandblast them both they will be textered and almost pain free. if you strip them you'll need to keep them brushed with scotchbrite or polished.
