cool i have done a bit more research now and understand it better.

do u have the drivers/sofware that came with the ignition? would u mind emailing it to me if not a problem or if u had to download them were did u download them from?

How are you going with this? I am looking at a vortex unit myself. The catch with these is that they are mapped to suit a particular engine and sold accordingly. So you won't be getting anything mapped for a China engine. The software is 1500 bucks AUS or the distributor remaps for you, for a fee. Trouble is you need to know what you want....which is impossible without the software. A day on the dyno with one of these and the programming software will pay big dividends.

Nicely done. My interest in timing off the cam is to eliminate the waste spark every other rotation. In theory that should allow for a hotter spark as the coil will have more recovery time between shots. On the flipside the cam chain would induce jitter into the timing... bah.

Hey just wanted to know if any one has used this with there Thumpstars/UPC/GPX motors.

It looks very interesting but is a bit of coin.

Anyone used it on anything? whats it like?

Thanks

Mitch

Now to give some insite on the Origonal question:

Developed by Former Factory honda Mechanic Ron Wood The CRF 50 Unit is a Modified Honda Cr 125 Flywheel and modified Stator, custom stator plate to fit a CRF50 they use Vortex Programable CDI Ign. it allows you "With the Software" to fine tune 10 different MAP setups....

if you were drag racing or Motarding or Factory BBR and have the money to spend id recomend it but this ign is....IMO "OVERKILL" Period

even the non programable one is high priced an Inner rotor works great and gets the same effect....But allows more mass less stalling...Better corner speed ???

I know someone that uses one Mike Leavitt on his BBR Bikes and He says the Motors in his bikes RIP They are Daytona 119cc and DOHC 124cc both with Tokyo Mods Ign.

if you never have used a Tokyo mods dont judge it by the price or even try to compair it to a inner rotor kit LOL

Ride any built bike with the stock ignition setup or your inner rotor and then take a 10 minute break and install the Tokyo mods. Then you will see what there all about untill then rock on with your inner rotors and what have you/

Peace
