well do u have a rim lock??

i put around 15 -16 and sometimes lowest 13... if u dont have rim lock thats way to low.. but i say 13-16 is good

 

that seems kindof low but if your not getting flat tires and the bike handls good then that is what is important. Different tracks and different conditions require different pressures ~ so on any given day, any thing is possible.

 

I like 16-18.I have rim lock F & R run 756 tires,if I run less than 15 I might as well break out the tire irons.However conditions play the major role in deciding.

are you guys running tubes? i run stock tires and tubes and i have 30 psi recommended is 32...and my tires like arent all that hard.





if i buy the tire lock does it seal the bead and i can ditch the tubes?

like these guys say you can run as low as 12 pounds. I usually run14 on my big bikes but my mini usually gets flats from the rim pinching the tube on hard landings with low pressures, so 18 - 20 lbs usually fixes that. rim locks keep the rim from spinning on the tire which keeps the valve stem from getting ripped out of the tube usually causing tire pressure of 0 lbs.

not the new rims that came out w/ foam set to a certain psi so u cant get a flat=)

 

man thats way too much for me.. 13-18... no flats here. but if the bike is stock then yes u might wanna put some air in but 30 is alot haha..

unless i'm going on a trailride then i bump it to 20-25 cause of all the rocks/roots.

 

The problem with foam is you can't tune for different track conditions. But if you only ride one track you'd probably be ok. I run around 14 in the rear most of the time and the front I keep pretty firm as I seem to turn on wheels into stops if I don't.

 

I run between 13-15 depending where im riding. If its real rocky then ill run 15 to prevent a flat but it not then i run lower for better traction.

oh, on my stock rear tire.....i think it may be because its not always been garaged...and its 6 years old...but i had like 25 psi in it..and idk maybe the stem nuts wernt tight but my stem ripped right out

Well-- That's a big spread! My bike kinda seems like it likes to wash the front end a bit on dry hard pack- like at TV Land. I was thinking that maybe it was tire pressure related. Maybe everyones tires seem to wash out there-- I don't know, cuz' I've only been riding my KLX since August. Except in my backyard. I guess I'll try 17 and work my way down. ---L*64
