Its almost a full horse on a 123cc motor and i have seen nearly 1.5 on a 172cc motor.it is just as reliable as the tb cam.if your running the 160 kit your head gasket will fail long before any other part of your motor will

What up racers! just wanted to comment on the z40 cam in a lifan 150. I have a lifan 150 with--ported stock head from(AHP),z40 cam, procircuit t4 exhaust, took outer rotor kit OFF and replaced it with regular ignition and had the fly wheel lightened by (AHP). kitaco super coil, with new race rev box and last but not least TB billet 6 plate race clutch!! ALL I CAN SAY IS IT'S F&$KING FAST!!!!!!!

YES run the Z40 cam it is good for 1hp TRUST 1/4 chub his dyno numders are correct and he has probably dynoed BOTH cams in the same engine.. So if he says it makes 1 more hp its 1 more... Piston isnt going to hit the valves PLENTY of clearance with the Z40.. End of story :) http://www.x386.net/TTR/tech/cam2.html Take a look for refference I run S30 and S35 cams in my engines and thats S35 270 degres of duration S30 258 so the Z40s little 247 duration is REAL safe..

those lifan 150 cam as i have measured up are z40 kopies...

thats the mainreason why the lifan 150 has so much more power

than lifan 140..

and a cam whith later intake closing always are more easy to kick

and the back side is those cams whith later intake closing

(more duration)needs a higer cr.

:confused:just got the head and cam im going with the z40 that should be here tomorrow thing is with the head the ports look quite ruff/ casting marks etc should i clean them up now not making them bigger just smoother

also would it be fine with the 26mm carb or would the 28mm make that much difference

Dave you asked a good question. I run a TB V2 head and im sure its real close to what you got there.. Unless I am going to port the head cleaning up the casting a little and just smoothing it out isnt realy gonna do a lot.. Now the difference between a 26mm carb and a 28mm carb on there is a big difference.. I run a PE28 on my 124+R engine all the way to my 184V2.. The 28 does run better and a PE28 has no bog on the bottom.. I got a little more power from a PWK28 but it had a stumble down low I couldnt get jetted right. The PE pulls from 1,000 rpm all the way to redline at WOT with no stumble on both engines..

I also measured our stock Lifan cam against a TB300 and the lift was slightly higher on the TB bt the Lifan has alot more duration. I went with the Lifan. Also, I had a TB head on our bike and wasn't getting the performance that I was looking for. Seemed to struggle on the bottom but the mid and top would scream. Ported the Lifan head and it does EVERYTHING I expected the TB would do. The springs on the TB are wayyy to much as well. We didn't have 2 hours on the head and the valves had worn due to the springs. Sent it to Terry and he corrected the problems we had but I'm running the Lifan and completely happy with the results we're getting.
