I'm interested in purchasing this Kit for my 04 w/ 88 race head. I've got a mikuni vm22. Will this Kit run well with my current setup? Will it run better with the VM26. I'm trying to light the spark to get back into minis again and Im pretty sure this will get me there! Thanks in advance!

Can't argue with either carb. Have an 88, 110, and a 106 with the 24, and had a 124 with the 24mm Keihin, and they all rip, and were not hard to dial in. However also have the mikuniVM26 on a 110 and 108, and they run excellent, and were easy to dial in. I lean toward the 26, if forced to choose.

I'm running the carb that comes with the tb 88 kit with racehead and it's great runs like top and fast as hell
Yeah , heard that here a few times

If you have the $$ VM26 606 is a great choice

The stroker crank is the best $150 you'll spend on that bike, it really wakes the engine up.

My riding buddy runs a 108 with the shengway 20mm as well and it runs great, in fact it never ran better. No matter what we did we could never fix the full throttle bog with that carb... Added the stroker crankshaft and the carb has never been so happy. It suffers a little at higher rpms I think but overall it's a good setup if you're on a budget.

Not to jack the thread, but check my motor available in the classifieds.

As for a carb, the VM26 is too big IMO...no matter what you do. Really, a VM20 is ideal, but a 22 would be about max IMO. You might lose 2-3mph on the top end, but really, you'll only spend 2% of your time there...tune your bike to where 90% of your time will be spent...that that is likely below 6500 rpms, which means a 20mm is going to be the best option.
