probably bought a seat with stripped threads. very common since its plastic and people (including me) like to overtighten which in this case equals stripped seat threads. Go down to local hadware store with the honda screws and get some that are a tad bit larger. i have a set that i found works great in this case with small washers. much better than the stock scews and i havent stripped a seat since i started using them. just dont over tighten.

the holes are smaller than the screws as if they were never predrilled.

 

oh, well then it probably comes without threads so that whatever screws you put in the seat, the seat will have threads for your screws - if that makes sense.



i've never had a new seat, only used

 

you need to put it in with pressure. they will go in themselves its like wood.

if it were some kind of metal it would need different screws and would need threads

I was going to say, make sure they are deep enough.



I had a few in my Two Brothers that werent drilled deep enough and they bottomed out causing the screw to rip out what threads were just made.

 

dont put to long of ones in eather that will go into the foam and poke your bottom! lol
