Dadwyn? Dude, those are worse than the Hongdou motors. Some of the chinese motors use rubber bearings instead of roller bearings in the motors.

I would only purchase JinChing and Zongshen motors, as they are made pretty well, and some of the designs hold up better than others!

WHy does everybody think they are Dadwyn engines? The Pit King is a chinese engine. 97 cc's and it is a DADYW engine. four speed with a clutch. I have 700 Hard miles on one of these engines and it still runs like a champ. shifts fine and everything. I think all you would need to do is add some compression and a nice cam and one of these things would rock. Sanokid needs to get going on that. he has the porting, now he needs compression, cam, and a big fatty carb.

for all the pit king haters. pimpin your 88 sucks! at starwest your dumpin the clutch out of the corners with a handful of throttle. i pin the the throttle no clutch dumping. beating you no prob on a motor cross track. motarding is a diff story. i give you the trophy. but at startwest i dont think so, if you dont think so we can go to starwest! pit kings run bitchin. i want a honda! thats the only reason i am gong back to a honda based engine! ohh well and i dont trust the trans! one more reason i guess ooppss! but after getting the head ported is great on the bottom end! i like it

700 miles of babying.....run that on the track 700 miles.....dont think it will make it that far without a problem or two at least.

Z - yea i was making sure i understood you right.....im pretty sure its identical to a dadwyn......side by side they are identical.

show me and engine that says DADWYN on it. and I will take a picture of a pit king for you that says DADYW right on the side cover. And the Pag has 700 hard track miles on it, it doesn't get babied, its pinned fourth gear on the street almost all the time. Don't open your mouth unless you know what your talking about. I deal with the guy who imports these engines to the states, the guy that pit king buys them from. I drove his Ferrari yesterday at Buttonwillow raceway. and hell yeah I am bragging that I raced a Ferrari on the track. Don't act like you know your shit just because you have heard of these engines breaking. I will be back in a little bit with a picture of the side cover that says Dadyw.

How do you like your Pagster? I, myself, prefer the Honda Jazz, of which the Pagster is a chinese replica, but it appears to be holding up well for you. Is there anything hokey on the pagster you would replace or have Pagster replace if you were to purchase another one?

Everyone else - The Honda Jazz, if you can find one in mint condition, was never imported into the USA, isn't street legal, and can fetch prices from $2500-$6000 depending on the condition. Looks like a mini-harley, and looks just like the Pagster, but better Honda quality.

The Pagsta is fun. Johnny Pag gave it to my dad as a gift and we have been riding the heck out of it for months. Sanokid got a HUGE ticket on it so since then we have gotten it registered and insured and everything. The bike is actually called a "Pagsta" That's how Johnny talks because he is from Boston. He is a funny guy, definitely has a lot of good stories. I will look up those jazz bikes and see what they are like. as far as changing something on the Pagsta....MORE POWER AND GEARING. I have some gears on the way for it so we'll see how that works out. Cant really think of anything else.

i just saw those markings on derricks bike.....maybe it is just dadyw......big deal

still a hunk of junk.....lol

what mods can be done to that motor to make it comparable to a 88cc??

i would rate that motor with a standard 88 kit at most or a 81 kit.

did derricks porting do anything for it??

what is the stroke and bore of those things?

The porting did help on the bottom end, I think all It needs now is a bigger carb/jetting, compression and a cam and that thing should haul ass. He has a carb on the way so we'll see how that works. I honestly like the idea of having a spare Honda engine around just in case something does happen. I haven't had any problems with any of my Dadyw engines and I ride them VERY hard. In the beginning the fact that they aren't too expensive let me feel comfortable riding the heck out of it. Now that they have held up so well has made me comfortable doing it, I am actually trying to break it because I have a brand new spare ready to go in the bike, but it just isn't happening. The damn thing wont break. I only changed the oil in the thing once! On my TB Honda engine I change it after every couple of rides. Not that I think the Chinese engine is better quality or anything, I just think that I don't worry as much about it because of the price of it, and mostly because of how well it has held up.

OHH YEAHHH....I have one of only 2 twin cylinder 250cc Dadyw engines that are in the states right now. Has two carbs and all. its pretty sweet, I don't think I will be able to squeeze it in a 50 but I guarantee that thing will be in something mini.

How much do you have into your engine Pimpin? just curious...will you come to Adams so I can see how well the Pitking engine holds up to yours? Thanks
