has anyone ever had a set of pirannah pro 50 forks that staggs global racing sells? If so are they a decent fork setup for mx/racing or what would be a good setup that is not too costly and also not too cheap i just have stock forks now with extended legs and hd springs and they suck

We have sold quite a few of the pro 50 front ends and there great setups. They are way better then the HD spring setup and you can adjust them and dial them in. For the money you also get a 12inch front wheel and disc brake setup which you can't get for that price with other setups. But if you havn't done anything to you rear end the bike will sit choppered out so we also reccomend this rear kit to keep the bike level sgr-usa.com

I've got a pair. As delivered, they would probably work pretty good on dirt cuz they are fairly stiff and the rebound seems right. I am tuning mine for road racing though. I think they will work good for my purposes when I am done tuning with oil.

Don't judge them until the fish oil that's substituted for fork oil is changed though. It makes a huge difference in thier movement. Do not skip changing the fluids out for quality stuff!

The clutch lever and the throttle are poo. The clutch lever is a rattler and the throttle sticks and does not have smooth movement.

You have to give the brakes time to bed/break in. After that, they are good binders, but you might want to have a spare lever in case you take a good fall.

If this thread is still alive after I get a chance to test them on a track (road racing), I give my evaluation for that.

Coax im looking to do the same thing with them. Let me know what you run for oil. and how they work on a motard build. Thanks -Joe

They came with 50ml of fish oil something in them. I changed to 60ml of 20wt. mainly to slow down the rebound for road racing. Rebound wise it is almost where I want them, but I'm only using maybe half the travel. I should have went 50ml or maybe even 40ml to start with the 20wt.

I'm going to try 40ml of 30wt. next. I think the rebound will be pretty good for my taste, but I'll have to see. It may be a little bit cuz I put a 184 V2 in the bike now and I'm catching %$## getting a Yosh pipe on the thing even with the NCC adapter ( I may have to go to a muffler shop and get it rebent or something).

With an oil change they are pretty smooth now for the price.

That's a good looking bike. Do they sell the fork guards seperately? Mine were cracked during shipping and I was just going to repair them, but I've changed my mind.

they should work decent with that set up then. The front end may still sit alittle high but you can drop the forks down in the clamps alittle. Let me know if I can do anything for you or if you have any more questions.

i also have another question about the forks i seen where they had also just the single setup but is says something about a 12mm axle.So that means if i didnt buy the complete setup that i would have to buy a new wheel and 12mm axle for the forks because the factory wheel and axle is 15mm right?
