Ok, I am the proud owner of a Thumpstar 110. I have been beating this bike for that last month and here is an honest review of what I found out!

Started with stock new Thumpstar 110. I rode it about three times to see what it needed then started to mod it.

So far I have replaced:

First i got an iShock for it, cause the stocker is complete JUNK! (read pogo-stick)

next was a new RK chain cause i was sick of adjusting the stocker everytime i rode. I also bought Shinko tires at that time. The stockers were ok, but the Shinko's were better. I had to tighten the spokes during the tire change cause they had loosened up, but have stayed tight since. However, the Shinko's are hard and im looking for a little better grip, so im going to Michelin Starcrosses next. I also put on a better feeling clutch lever, something i had laying around from motocross.

After a few days jumping (i weigh 195lbs) i bent the footpeg mount so it was replaced by a BBR unit.

The only other part that i have had to purchase was a Five0 chain slider cause the stock one is junk and the chain started to wear through it on the top of the swingarm.

The only problems i have had is that the braket that holds the sparkplug cap was letting moisture in, so i had to silicone it to keep the bike from stalling or misfiring (only a problem in the rain and snow, but im glad its fixed)

Now, as far as the bike goes, I am VERY happy with it. I raced expert level motocross for seven years (I had my pro license in 2000-2001) and I ride the Thumpstar as hard as i can! It has preformed very well and couldn't be happier! I know some of you are going to knock it, but I think its a great bike that is performing better than any crf's around here! Even guys with 88 kits can't keep up so far. Granted its only the beginning of the season and if one of the 88 kitted bikes had a little better rider, it would be close! We are building our track bigger so this summer should be a lot of fun! So are there any other Thumpstar riders out there, and what does everyone think??? (sorry for bad grammar, but im at work and in a hurry)

sounds like a decent bike. not too many problems. little problems here and there. but easliy fixed. even i had a problem with the chain slider on my honda 450f. the shock.....well who wants a stock shock anyways. how is the front suspension? any problems with the trans?

The front suspension has been great, handling all the hits i could through at it. I even came up about a foot or so short on a 10 ft long kicker jump (the landing was about 3 feet high) and nosed it in and it took it way better than i was expecting. I think i want it to be a tiny bit stiffer (especially cause i run my iShock really stiff), so im going to the next thicker oil soon. As far as the tranny goes, i have heard bad things, but haven't had any problems yet. I try to be smooth while riding/shifting the bike, but i do miss a shift or bang one really hard now and then, still no problems.

I am also going to continually upgrade the parts on this bike as the season goes. But it has been and still is an EXCELLENT starting point that if you wanted to, you could leave just as it is right now! But what would be the fun in that?!?!?! I want to MOD more!!! lol

HA HA HA !

I just did a quick search and the first site (a UK site) I went to had this to say:

Thumpstar Pro Pit Bike - This is the Thumpstar 120cc Pro Pit Bike, it is taking the UK by storm. The Mini Motocross bike is an awesome bit of kit, it is so powerful it will almost pull your arms off. Manufactured in the US, the Thumpstar is really tricked up, the list of tricks is huge

I guess all the UK riders sill be complaining about those cheap US knockoffs if thes bikes start to have issues>
