I am on the verge of buying a shock for my KX 65 and want opinions on both of these.

I know Ohlins has a killer rep and history but they also have the price to match;)!

The Fox is new but is also a lot cheaper and looks to have the same stuff.

whats the price difference? Adjustablility is not the main concern here Anthony. You want the rebound to work in congruence with the increased spring rate. This is the problem I'm having with the forks right now. Heavy springs and oil but the stock valving sucks the big one. If you can get that confirmation from Fox. It would be worth a $200 difference in my opinion if there even is that much difference. Also, some of these shock are not rebuildable if you can beleive that. Find that out as well.

From what Fox is telling me the shock can be revalved I am not satisfied with the performance, for $180!

They will sell it with a spring for my weight (185lbs) and the stock valving. Probably designed for an 80lb kid. It's $460 for the single speed and $560 for the dual speed.

Is the Ohlins a dual speed dampener?
