Wow, I am truely amazed. You do take an encyclopedia to the crapper don't you. OK, if you can come up with a basic set of dimensions, I will fabricate one to test. If all goes well, then I will send you an agreement for a % of profits from sales.

Too many variables to get something that'd work consistently on multiple bikes. I could come up with something, but it would only work on one motor/intake/carb/exhaust setup, as the parts are all going to have an affect on the final tune. Not to mention the dyno time... Math simulations will get you close, but because it's only an approximation of a very complex system, you have to then fine tune by intuition, something I don't have practice with. This is an area that big bike manufacturers spend BUKU bucks on. It's little things like airbox and exhaust design that make or break their machines, especially the wannabe race bikes.

It seems like the import bikes could pull off an airbox a lot better than a honda. Usually there is more space between the top of the cases and the bottom of the frame tube. Pitsters for example. Thats where an airbox would be really feasable. The bikes are all the same from the factory. They could get away with an airbox that mounted right to the frame. Supply them with intakes that go straight back. Lot easier than trying to match up 152 random honda motor/carb setups...with different frames.

Whoa, yeah. Hrmmm... wtf was I remembering then? I must be remembering the total? Now I'm going to have to go dig that info up...

...

680 math

625 verbal

This is why I carry a PDA and random scraps of paper, my memory is bested only by the finest single cell ameobas or better. I still have no idea where 1250 came from now.

Damn did I kill this thread or what?

So, new part idea...

Adjustable peg brackets. The base pegmount is made using heavy square stock, and is only as wide as the mount points. Peg arms are then made to slide into the square stock similar to square hitch receivers. Want straight pegs but run them wide? Can do! Want a peg mount with an inch of drop, that'll be this part number. Want to switch peg positions depending on weather you have knobbies or slicks mounted? Just buy one of each mount set.

Xtreme already sells peg mounts that are straight instead of bending upward. They also sell peg mounts in different widths. The problem with these is that you have to change you brake pedal. I am sure that AHP loves this though since the over the top pedal would work here. I just am not sure if the AHP pedal will work with all motors out there.

I want a set that are about level, and up 2", back 1" for motard duty. I already know Vince can get me setup with a custom set, but I'm lazy, I wanna pull a pin and swap in some without touching the peg bracket bolts. : )

If you do that, you need to space the clamps to allow 4.6" between the narrowest point so a 120/80R12 Dunlop TT91 will fit between when mounted on a 1.6" x 12" rim. If you meet that requirement, I'm interested.
What is the width of the tire at its widest point when mounted to that rim?
