I'm going to be delving into mini-supermoto this summer... Looking for info on what sort of rig to get, setup stuff, and recommendations on events around Orlando...

I've been riding most of my life, dirt when I was a kid and street for the past 12 years on and off. Into all bikes - currently own a TL1000R that I'm in the process of streetfightering and a lil Ninja that's my fiance's, but I put more miles on it than her...

Been looking at little bikes... all I care is that it has a clutch and can take significant abuse. I want to spend under $2k on the whole thing... finding lots of options for $500-$800 and I figure I can lace up my own wheels for about the same. I imagine I'm going to want to do some suspension stuffs for my fat ass... hoping to stay into budget.

well I would just get a pister pro china bike : Pitster Pro *LXR160R Twelve - Pit Bikes - PITSTER PRO Pit Bikes - TRC-0888 - TBolt USA, LLC because to make a klx110 full mod pit bike like mine coasts like 8000 in upgrades to a stock klx110 or drz110.

or you can look around on here for a "stock mod"

$8k? I'm not looking to race, just looking for some parking lot fun... I doubt I'll even touch the engine other than maintenance... Though some of those new Chinese bikes sure are tempting, I'd rather find a name brand dirtbike that's a few years old that some kid 'grew out of' and go from there...

Found a CR85 Expert on CL this morning for $800... looks pretty good too. I did make a deal with my soon to be wife (this Sunday), that I gotta get into better shape so I don't fuck myself up too bad on this thing.

Did I mention that the last time I rode a mini, I was drunk outside of a bar and high-sided shattering my kneecap? What's REALLY sick about that is that I've been AGATT on the street, but made the mistake of too many gin and tonics clouding my judgment... painful lesson I will NOT repeat.

CR85 are great!, just stick some stiffer suspension and bigger footpegs on there and your set.. warning : don't get one that has been raced before, it may look cool but its really beat to shit..

That's what I've been reading... good confirmation... KX65's seem to be popular, but for some reason those CR's seem to be rather plentiful around here...
