Bought this kit to mount my Takegawa DN meters on my Dax. I've figured out how to get the neutral indicator working no problem, but the turn signal wiring makes absolutely no sense to me. There are two leads coming off the indicator. You'd think one goes to the left blinker and the other to the right blinker. But when I wire it this way, the indicator only lights up for one of the blinkers. I am doing something wrong, and I can't figure it out. Anyone installed one of these and got the turn signal indicator working for both signals? Please help!

Maybe try tying both of the single leads from the blinkers to one wire, and ground the other wire for the indicator. When you put the blinker on, the power will also light the indicator. Just a thought...

Well I tried that and what happens is, when I flip the switch, all of the blinkers want to come on, as well as the indicator light.

The kit came with a wire splicer (red doodad in picture). I'm wondering if it is mandatory to use this...somehow. Takegawa couldn't have made this any more confusing.

Problem solved with a little help from dirtbkr188. One wire from the indicator to the ground and one to the grey blinker relay wire. Works like a charm! Thanks!

Edit: Spoke too soon. Indicator stays lit when I turn off the blinker switch. This is wacky. Takegawa, get off the glass dick.

On a factory TS equipped, 6V CT70 with incandescent bulbs, the left and right TS leads (Orange and Lt Blue) go to either side of the indicator light.

When one signal is blinking (goes hi), the indicator bulb will find ground through the light bulbs on the opposite side.

If either the TS or the indicator bulbs are LEDs, this system will not work on a CT70 without some add'l work.

If any of these lights are LED you would need to wire as drtbkr188 described but also add diodes to either side of the indicator to prevent backfeeding

Lo and behold, Takegawa returned my email. Was halfway there with the help from this forum.
