Well i bought my first bike its a 2000 panda 3 speed semi auto 50cc. I picked it up for 900 talked the person down from 1200 . I havent rode it yet except for around the block once. It only has 37 miles on it . man do I love this little thing.

as for this build i would like to be able to do at 50mph. any tips or suggestions a re alway welcome good or bad. ive had this bike for coming up on a year and still havent rode it due to a couple of set backs. like needing a clutch lever and cable ant the carb not being able to be put on. this build will be slow as i dont have much money.



Mods I want to do, in no perticular order.

Front Disk Brake

Exhaust

10 Inch Wheels

Michelin Boppers

Motor Swap (once i get used to riding the scoot) 90% done

Remove Dumb Stickers off the gas tank

Better Shocks



what i dream it would look like when im finished (not gonna happen anytime soon)

change in plans ill be getting a 125cc motor instead of the 110cc. i will be trading my 50cc +200 for it.

Edit first problem

Well guys I ran into a lil problem getting the carb on.

It hits the frame when it has the throttle cable on.

The one for the 50cc carb fits, but the 125cc top where the

throttle cable hooks up barely fits with out cable. Ill get

pics up when I get home.

should i just make 1 cut to extend it?

i have been told that cutting the manifold and using radiator hose to extend the manifold should work. what do you guys think about this idea? do you guys think this will work? or should i wait to find a new manifold that is a little bit longer? remember im trying to this as cheap as possible.

You can get one of those 12-way manifold adapters that allow you to change the angle of the manifold. It's only about $20 and most mini bike vendors will have it (dratv, ahp, tbolt, etc). Thats what I ran on my Panda.



My Panda with the Lifan 125, OVER exhaust, and 16/34 gearing got me a top speed of 58mph and it got there pretty quick.

hey man i put a 125 on mine but i used a slightly different engine i also have pics on here with my pet cock solution, my intake is at a different angel so top of the carb and throt. cable fit nicely between the frame and tank.

i also have a build thread called 'my k5 74z50a' maybe the pics will help.

yeah i know it is hard to let go of it. i tried to find that adapter you are talking about but it was sold out every where.

well guys this thing geting put on hold till i can barrow a truck or figure out a way to clean out the garage and make room in there for the bike. right now its at my girls moms in the back yard.

For those of you with downpipes, have you considered running the VM26 with a Kitaco Right Exit (exhaust side) Intake?



P.S. It fits better but you have to run a down pipe and not a stock routed pipe. This is for the Honda Motors as some of the chinese engines have a taller deck on the head.

it'll fit in a honda 4 door civic for sure. so if you have something bigger or similar you're fine. just watch the gas, oil and grime.

Get a couple thick moving blankets and you're good to go.

I helped EddieNewYork put it into his Civic the same way Pete describes above.

alright guys i have a few more questions.1. will the manual that Z posted wrap for this bike?2. how much oil does the 125cc lifan need?3. is there any tranny fluid in these motor's?this info is because i have never changed anything on these bikes.also big pete do you happen to have the little clip that goes on the chain? to lock it in place?

You might not need to take the passenger seat out (easier to load though) but line the back seat of your car and with the help of a buddy (definitely needed) put that bike in the back seat. Be careful of any area of your car it may contact like footpegs, license plates, fenders etc. so BE CAREFUL!

At night, the moving blanket can be used to keep your Panda warm on cold winter nights in the garage.
