Petcock Peeves Does anyone know where I can find an angled petcock that fits the outlet threads on a 1978 Z50 metal tank? The stock petcock hits my air filter. Last edited by ShapeShifter; 10-08-2008 at 11:22 AM. Reason: Just because

Re: Petcock Peeves Cop-out solution: Run one of those fugly 12 way intake adapters. Better - Petcock you speak of - Honda Trail Bikes Best (without fabricating your own) (and 2nd most expensive) G-craft Intake with built in 360 swivel for a PC20 Keihin Carb. With this beauty, you can angle the carb in a direction that clears without issue without taking away from the looks of the bike. ![]() The most expensive option is what I did. I bought a polished aluminum tank for the 1972-1978's that comes with a relocated petcock. http://www.honda50.com/g2data/galler...serialNumber=1

Re: Petcock Peeves If I could weld aluminium I would never had asked the question I have to be careful with swivels, the throttle cable has to go between the tank and the frame, and I dont like the air filter sticking out sideways too much. I'm a picky son of a bitch when it comes to my projects. Thanks Z, I had not looked at tbparts yet.

Re: Petcock Peeves I just ordered a tb side exit petcock. I sure hope it has a reserve and it isn't just a tall filter. I needed this Piece to clear the starter on my C70 Passport Engine in a '72 Z50. Anyone running one yet?

Re: Petcock Peeves I have one but Im not sure what you mean. It has a tall filter that feeds from all sides and heights.

Re: Petcock Peeves Here's my set-up. 75 z50, tb carb and mainfold. I cut the manifold at the base marked the position I wanted and had a friend weld it. Cable fits nicely between frame and tank.

Re: Petcock Peeves i got it from my dad's brass fitting collection he has a crap load in this old ceramic pan. i just dropped the stock fuel filter down on the pet cock mount [threads] like you would normally and screwed on the fitting. ![]() ![]()
