Hey guys,

As some of you may know, i bought my first mini yesterday. I decided upon buying a ttr-90. Anyway i managed to find an AMAZING deal on a 2005 model from Springwood Suzuki in underwood. They were the best motorbike dealership i've ever delt with by the way, they stayed open for an extra 30 mins for me to get the bike. They gave me a full recipt/warrenty etc. They are just really helpful. Anyway, the bike was $2200 which is awsome as stock 03 models tend to sell for that much. But mine wasn't stock! Mine has a Full GTYR Exhaust System, GTYR Tall Bars, a Takegawa 110cc bore kit with filter, carby etc. Anyway it's in PERFECT condition and runs like a dream. As promised i've got some pics here for you. Well "some" is and understatment, i really went kinda crazy. But anyway ill have even more pics after this week when i have my new fork springs, rear shock, tall seat. Then after that when i get the graphics kit and other stuff! The tank decals have a few bubbles in them, but thats no dramas, i don't see why yamaha don't just put holes in the tank decals from stock? Anyway here's the pics. Let me know what you think! Thanks....

Hey guys does anyone on here know what the best rear shock for the ttr90 is? Should i go for the works performance, the i shock, or the gtyr? Also are they gtyr fork springs good? I love this bike! I spent all this arvo riding it. It's so much more fun than my yz125 was. So much easyer to ride. Only thing i noticed was that the suspention felt like it was a bit soft, well way to soft. It's stock, so im hopeing this new rear shock and the new fork springs make it feel even better! Also does anyone know where i might be able to find an aftermarket, or stock chain guide? My bike didn't come with one. Thanks

gytr springs tend to be soft, i would try BBR springs, much stiffer, and if you want you can replace the shock or get BBR shock spring, will be alot better of a ride! and as for a chain slide, they dont come with them stock, they just have a peice of plastic shaped like one lol, i am nor sure where to buy one, check ebay, BTW the bike looks nice and clean!

Well im only about 130 pounds (55 kgs). So a softer spring might be ok so long as it's a fair bit harder then stock. As for the rear spring, is it better to buy a whole shock or would a spring be just as good? Thanks for the comment on the bike! I went riding in deeeep clay today. It had been raining and i was having to go through puddles about 1 foot deep in places. The bike stalled in one lol. But anyway, it was no where near as clean after chasing a yz250 through the clay and mud. I just finished cleaning it all back up to perfect! Took about 3 hours tho haha.

well then gytr fork springs will be alright for you, and as for the shock, it is better to just buy a new shock, but if you dont have the money just get a spring...

Does anyone know an online store that sells the works performance ttr-90 shock and can ship to australia? Just that there about $350 aud in the US and about $590 aud here in Australia. Thanks for all the comments, just got back from a little ride, IN THE BACKYARD!!, i couldn't ever do that on my yz! It was awsome. Can't wait to take it out to a propor mini mx track.

Ok well i cant find anywhere that will ship to aus, so I might have to wait a while before i get the shock..They cost soooo much more here! Anyway in the meantime would a stiffer spring be a good idea? Will that help much at all with control/help to not stress and hurt the bike? If so whats the best one out there for a 130 pound rider? And with the front fork springs same deal, will they actually make the forks suit my weight? I was jumping the bike this arvo, and i am just worried because it sounds like it's landing pretty heavily when i jump it. Just because it's going through the travel so quick. But yea, will a new rear shock help protect the bike from these hard landings? Same deal with fork springs? And yea, for a 130 pound rider, whats the best fork springs and the best rear shock spring out there? Are the gytr ones ok? Thanks for all the comments/help guys! Realyl appreciate it. Tom

Common! Someones gotta be able to tell me whether it's worth buying a new rear spring if i can't afford the shock! Will a new rear spring help the feel and make the bike less likley to break from jumping? If so whats the best one for a 130 pound rider to buy? Same with forks springs? Thansk guys.

new rear spring is worth the money, but you are getting just a rear spring, thats it lol...thats what i run and to be honest i love it...i got the twobros one. As for the frunt before i upgraded my suspension to kx60 forks i had the two bros front stiff springs...very stiff, not too stiff tho, will make for what i think you are looking for. just my .02 and ive tried about every product for a 90.

to be honest it was like a xr70 before reeg came though you have to fabricate everything if you really want to compete on one..

#24 ·
