So i have a xr50 and haven't ran it in awhile. Anyways with the choke on half way it runs fine and i can give it full throttle and it responds yet once the choke is turned off it will only idle and take slight throttle, once i open it up it just dies. I think the main jet might be clogged, unless it runs on the same main jet with or without the choke on? Could it also be something like one of the air/fuel screws? any thoughts would be appreciated

clean out all your jets make sure their not clogged check the spark plug and check if it is getting to much fuel or if its to lean.
first clean out all your jets really good. Take a really thin wire and clean it out with that too. If that seems to work but not fully, then try adjusting the air screw (flat head setting) IN. It sounds like its getting too much air.
my pitsterpro did that when i dumped it and got dirt in the carb,hopefully its just somethin minor like that i wish you luck
