This one is mostly stock only a few hundred in parts. Im looking for another crf50 to build into a real pitbike.

 

Just picked up this XR 50 yesterday. I’m going to start doing some mods to it soon.

 

 

Finished up my Fast50's bike, so a few of that and both of mine together.

Bought stock, spent 5 days and a few bucks turning her into a 1986 Supercross Champion Ricky Johnson tribute. 😁

 

Adding a larger swingarm. I found my z50 mx aftermarket mx swingarm was so much better off-road that I’m merging in one on to my xr50

 

Loving it with the really long rear swinger & the heavier rear coil !! Also upgraded the front caliper from the cable actuated caliper to a single piston to a $49 Baja DoodleBug complete aftermarket hydraulic caliper & lever assembly, was a great fit for my Honda Montessa forks I run that have a 2" caliper mounting spacing, even the hydraulic line was a perfect length.

Last thing to do is get rid of the brake rod extender. Had one of these fail once, so keen to put in 16" long solid brake rod, seems they are not and easy to find, aftermarket extended suppliers seem to tap out at 14" as their maximum. Tells me I have seriously grown the XR, but hell, beautiful to ride

A bit of dad/son play time.
One of my boys visiting so I dragged their mini's out for a bit of fun. Loving the big swingarm on the XR, now matches the front so much better and soaks up everything.
Just wish the XR had a tad wider seat, never an issue on the Z but after an hour on the XR you notice the seat comfort. Tall helps, but width is so much more comfortable for an adult.
