Now before everyone starts gathering up their gascans and flamethrowers in anticipation of a royal torching, I'm fully aware of the ancestry and lineage of my latest acquisition... it was MADE IN CHINA. Now that it's been said, let's proceed. This was basically out for local trash disposal, so to speak. The PO actually had gathered it up at a local recycling yard and took it home, just as you see in the pics below. he got tired of walking around it, moving it, shuffling it, etc. and asked me if I'd be interested in something different to tinker with.
Please understand that what you see is what I got...no more, no less. It isn't of the highest quality production standards, and sports the usual Chinese pseudo-bling bolt-on chrome crap (frame covers, amongst other things). A few interesting side notes to it, though. Real hydraulic brake master cylinders front and back, as opposed to the cheesy bike-type cable brakes that pull through the eyelets after 3 good tugs. It is an e-start only, the clutch side cover is blocked off where the kickstarter spindle normally is, ala the ATC or TRX70 style. Also, there is no shift shaft spindle for gear selection, the hole for it is virtually non-existent. The engine serial numbers reads as so: XY1P39FMB, so I'm guessing that it is a 39mm cylinder (49cc) engine. No other indications or markings to denote whom the manufacturer is, at all.
I plan to look the whole thing over carefully, and attempt to get it running and see what's what with it. What I need are a few of the pocketbike/midbike websites to do some nosing around on, to try and get more information on this, and possibly some replacement parts when the time comes. I know there some of you out there that have dabbled with these things, any insight/websites would be appreciated.
