Well ive been buying bikes for a while now and decided to jump on the motovert wagon. It was my 1st time putting together any bike and man at times did i get frustrated the little shim or what ever it is that goes in the gear shifter then the breaks, and carb work and carb work and carb work and jetting and then comes all the magically disapering bolts nuts. very misteriuos. Get her all running go to put on all the plastic and the dang right side number plate is cracked in the bubble wrapped plastic but man shes pretty and wow that sound. CAUTION CAUTION tighten everything. i rode it around the block a couple of times just happened to look down at the front wheel which was real visible since i had not yet put front femder on yet and noticed the 2 allen heads that hold on the axel bolt well 1 had macically disapeared and one was loose toothing.Anyways everything looks sounds and so far runs good. So the egg shell plastics will b 1st on my list to go and kinda curious about the clutch.

the right side number plate will break if you breath wrong, I know, I've broken two of them on my 09 vert. So far my clutch has held up great. Watch the welds on your swing arm, if you see any hairline cracks you'll need to replace it, my buddy snapped his at the weld on a 30ft double. Other than that it's a sweet bike, i swapped out the klx style handle bars for crf50 style and the bike is so much better feeling.

Yes, they are very nice lookin bikes!

FYI - I know that Tommy has quite a bit of integrity on all my dealings with him. ANY vendor's swing-arm could break if it is not heat treated or welded correctly. Lets not throw Vert under the bus before they have a chance to respond timely and do the right thing for the customer.

I know that T or D / Vert really got the short end of the stick from YX with that famous batch of wonderful YX 160's they sent over. I give them major props for fixing all that stuff (just like Gary) so the customer is safe from the "importer risk".

I am sure Tommy will take care of your needs with no worries (like any other good vendor would)!

Tyson knows Tommy is awesome, he was just trying to make sure the new guy watches the swinger. I saw the one that broke and I didnt believe my eyes. Not all are going to break. Good news is YX is supposed to be sending a batch of good ones, Hopefully YX "mans up" half as much as TDK has.

My 08 Vert is still awesome! Just wish this rain would have picked a different weekend so I could ride!!!!!

Wow, give some advice and you think I killed someone.

Tommy is an amazing guy and yes he will back up your bike because like my name says I HEART MOTOVERT, I know Tommy personally and I am glad to call him friend, like EVERYTHING from china you're gonna have some good and some bad, on the first batch of 09's I know that 4 or 5 of the swingers broke at the weld, Tommy fixed all of them.

I just wanted you to watch out for it so you didn't hit a 20ft double and snap it, you would know what to watch for so if you saw hairline cracks you could take it to a good welder and have it fixed b-4 it snapped.

I have an 09 vert and I jump the poop out of it and my swinger is fine, so don't go nuts just watch for it so you can be one step ahead.

yea I've replaced it several times, I wreck a lot! LOL... I bought the T3 plastics from faster minis but they break too, I wanted to get some that just fold like OEM plastics on the big bikes but UFO doesn't make plastics in crf70 style but I'm wondering if a front fender will bolt up from another style they make.

also if you got more money than you know what to do with maier or meyer, can't remember how to spell it makes some pretty sweet plastics but it's around 50 bucks per piece!

If you are worried about the swingarm just give the guys a MV a call and say "hey I'm worried about my swingarm" let them know and ask them about it. That way if there is a problem down the road you know they will be able to take care of you.

Yes! that is what I would do as well. At least call the dealer you bought it from and ask about it, he may know something to look for or he may tell you the problem has been fixed...and its possible they had a few bad ones due to a casting mold or something a long those lines.

Any way its a sweet bike for sure!!
