SCAM. same guy tried to get my Xtreme CR107 but in the e-mail he missed up and said "my client will pick up your kx250 and then will ship it to me." I got about 5 of them saying "take the $4000-$5000 and subtract the price of your bike and mail me back the money.

 

ok, so they're both scams? How should i respond? tell them i dont want to sell it to them?

i had this happen with a vehicle i was selling, they send you a check but it is a stolen check from a credit card company. You know like the ones you get in the mail? Tell em to take a hike, your not interested.

 

why woilndt he just send a check for the exact price? its definatly a scam call the cops on the ***, first before u do anyhting, get his fone# adress and all then call the cops

Deffinately a scam ,tell him you are contacting the authorities.

 

they take fake checks and give you more than the bike so you give them money back, so for the fake check they get a bike plus cash. Don't give them any information, and alot of time they are doing it from another country and they say that is the reason why they are doing it and having a friend pick it up so they can ship it back to them. I think most of the time they don't even come for the bike, they just want the cash so they send you a check you send them cash and they don't take the bike. If its too good to be true then it a scam. I would only accept cash.

yeah u just endup sending the bike to somebody who never even new about it or wanted it in the first place

 

I am one of the owners of http://www.gorage.com an online garage sale without bidding. And we have this happen daily. If you gave him any info the chances are the check has been mailed. You can turn it in to athorities, your mbank or the Post office. Do Not cash it against your account, thats what they want you to do. If by a slim chance it goes through the check will come up bogus and what ever the amount is that you cashed it for will come out of your account.

A simple reply saying that you know its a scam and it has been reported to the FBI should make them quit emailing you.

 

id report him to the cops and defently not tell him anymore about yourslelf keep all your info safe. because these hackers get smarter and smarter. i freaking hate scamers i got scamed on ebay for 1800 for a 50, the guy that was selling the bike sold the bike and i wasnt paying attention and some other random guy hacked into his account and sent me a bootleg second chance offer and i said yes and sent the money through western union (who i also hate. thats usally a good tip that there scamers) and i never got my money back or a bike. my dad was so pissed. and when i reported it to ebay there was nothing they could do. that was a bad experience. all im saying is i would be very cautious and this guy seem weird so dont tell him any more about yourself.

SCAM........................................ It happens .. it did to me .. I was selling my cobra got the same type of letter .. so answered back sure i will take the offer send cash asap..never heard from them again !!!

 

Or you could just give him a bunch of bogus information. Tell him your santa clause and to send the check to the north pole. Or go tell him to sit on a pole!!!
