I put a 70 motor in my 50 and the stock 70 throttle cable is too short for my bbr throttle housing and it holds the slide open. You guys know of anywhere i can get a longer cable or what i should do?

Im guessing youre using a stock 70 carb?

I really dont know where you find replacements for those that are longer, my friend has one and its a PITA to get disconnected from the carb (if it does even disconnect).

Until you find a replacement, couldnt you just route the cable different to make up for the slack?

what I mean is instead of running on the left side of the frame, wrapping around the front of the neck, and up in front of the bar top clamp, could you just run it out of the right side on the frame, tie it up on the bars somewhere and go straight to your throttle?

just an idea..I cant go a week without riding mine so ive had to do this before when waiting for a longer cable..

Im using the stock 70 carb and the design of the bbr throttle assembly makes it so that even when it is screwed in all the way when you hook the cable to the throttle tube, it holds the slide about 1/4 way open.

Has anyone had this problem?
