Does anyone use one? If so what do you think? Do you think there is any true benefit of running one? I find them dirty, leaky and haven't noticed any real improvement. I'm thinking of taking mine off. It's always leaking oil no matter how tight I wrench the hose clamp around the plastic and the nozzle and I'm always having to clean oil off my engine and it leaks onto my exhaust and smokes. It's rather annoying.

Just looking for your comments.

I just used a dress up tappet cover and put a threaded 3/8" fitting in and put 1/4" hose. It was so hard to get the hose on thers no way its gonna leak. As for performance, i have no idea of it actually makes a difference. I know what its suppose to do but ive never had a problem not running one. I rock one because it looks cool lol

I took it off of my 124+R, my 192cc YX, my TB117, All my engines. Your right there a mess.. IF you keep the crankcase breather clean and not blocked or kinked at all there is blenty of room for blow by. But if you ride in the mud and get the crankcase breather tube blocked then you can pop seals.. I use my bikes on the stret so head breathers and oil coolers are gone and have been for years with no issue..

So what did you do geezer? Did you just drill the stock vent larger, then add your own adapter so that you can attach a braided line to it?

So taz are you saying that the stock vent is enough to keep internal pressures down as long as the line from it isnt clogged? So the only real reason for the head breather is more like a secondary for if the stock line it clogged or just as a cosmetic thing?

I drill and tapp a new hole that faces up. Then drill and tapp and plug the old hole. I like the vent facing up.If oil gets in the hose it can run back down. This mod is used on big motors. The big ones CAN try to move air in and out more as the big piston goes up and down it tries to work like a big air pump. The Motor on the bottom is a 201. Honda made a baffeled chamber down there that helps seperate the oil and air.

Ok so the head breather is pretty much unecessary? That is unless the stock vent is clogged?
They use that as a supplement. The stock one is kinda small. That's why the big china motors use a bigger vent. So of you ever split you're cases its a good time to do it. Most motors are ok without a big vent. Blowby from rings cam cause it to blow oil too
