Good post. I'm actually looking at purchasing one of these two pipes also. Haven't figured out which one yet though.

 

the fmf 4.1 is sooo sick looking/sounding and the perform really well. my first mod that i had awhile back had the fmf 4 and have nothing bad to say about it either.... i think it just comes down to which one you like better personally i like the look of the 4.1 better

 

the older powercore 4's suck and sound like crap. They made a newer version that resembles the 4.1 can and has steps in it. Much better. None of the pipes are going to give your bike tons of power. It's mainly which one you like the look/sound of.

The reason I want to put a pipe on us to help give it more flow, because I think that my bike it really choked up now. I was getting at which pipe preformed better, but so far I'm getting the impression that they are similar aside from looks. I will probably go with the newer power core 4

 

for the money. id go carbon yosh RS-2 everytime. same price there on ebay for like 240, thats really, really cheap

 

I was just on FMF's website and saw that they offer a different version of the 4.1 for only $160. Can someone explain how this is possible?

 

im looking at the fmf 4.1 and pc t4, cheapest ive seen the 4.1 is like 240 but pc is 212... if you find out why there is one for 160 let us know!

everyone seems to love the yoshi but the carbon cracks to easily

 

just like any other carbon pipe you need to keep packing in them.

The item number for the $160 pipe, is the number of the old anodized blue cans w/ ti headers. Hell of a deal, if it's good, and not an error.

 

Question has yet to be answered.... What is the difference between the 2 pipes. It might take a phone call to FMF. Anyone got the number or wanna take the lead on this topic?

I don't think they changed anything motor wise between years so I would assume it would fit but don't quote me. It showed up when I searched and I have an '08

the header diameter between the powercore 4 and factory 4.1 is a big difference. the factory 4.1 is going to give you the performance you want, but beware the pipe is retarded loud. I had one on my 50 and the mid pipe diameter is about the same as my brother in laws ktm 450 quad.

I agree, my bro had one on his bike he bought off a guy on here...way too loud! It was bored out to like a 183 or something and it was as loud as a 250f if not louder. Not a good thing, even when he put a stock motor in it the pipe was rediculously loud compared to my t4.
