Well figured since I have been testing this motor for a while now and the 190 has just been released I will give my point of view. I started out with the Anima150 which is a very snappy and high rev motor, reminded me of my old 138 takegawa 4 valve motor. After riding this motor a few times and playing with the gearing/rev limiter this motor had really came to life and was the perfect indoor motor to me. I noticed the rev limiter being the best advantage to the 150 to really allow it to rev all the way out and get the full power of the motor. Also let me state I rode this motor during the whole indoor season with over 15 hours on it and had 0 issues at all. Towards the end of the indoor season we then switched over to the Anima190, which is a must have in my eyes. This motor really came to life down low and gave you the bottom end torque that the 150 didn't have, you can really lug the 190 out of corners and still pull everywhere. Ive been on the Anima190 for a few months now, I do ride atleast twice a week only at mx tracks and have had 0 issues with the 190 motor. As most of you know I have built plenty of klx motors which ranged from 143cc-195cc, I would compare the Anima150 to a 155cc klx but the Anima being alot more snappier similar to an inner rotor kit. I would also compare the Anima190 real close to my old 195cc klx motor, tons of torque but also that top end power you need for them long tracks. I know alot of people have been looking into buying these motors but haven't heard much feedback on them, but after racing in vegas i couldn't believe how many of these new motors I seen out there. These motors are bulletproof in my eyes and require 0 mods off the shelf to hit the track and really put the power down without worrying about problems.

To everyone out there debating on buying this motor, dont wait any longer, these are great motors and will take as much abuse as you put them through!

Yeah couldnt agree more.

Got two anima 190fdx engines, one on my racebike and one on the practice bike.. Great low end power and still rev pretty good. But i got to say that the exhaust i got on my race bike really awaken the anima 190. it rev much more, lost little low end power but it screams and bounce of the limiter like a 250f does :D

Have been riding zongshen 178cc with v2 head and tg internals and a prepped daytona 160 2v. the daytona 160 had more power than the zongshen. but the anima got more power than both right out of the box.

Very satisfied with the engine!

Is it possible to make this motor a torque monster? High revs are for the mid 1990's 125 2 smokers. I wanna lug it around the outside line in 3rd and "buuuurp" seat bounce a 40ft double.

Is there any low lift looooong duration cams avalible? I need "stump pulling power" not F1 race car power.

Good feedback BTW. Not enough people take the time to share thier findings :)

stock 150 vs my modded 70mm bv-ed 190

So How much torque do you want?

Here's are some stock crf150R pulls for comparison

Wouldn't that be the 62x62 stock config 190? That 62 stroke wouldn't need any revving to the moon to make lots of usable power. I don't see any reason to de-cam it...once you put 20hp in a 150lb bike, you can lug it regardless.

For a true stump puller, put in a longer stroke...you can buy the 150 anima and put in the 66 stroker from TRP...my 175cc motor configured 58 bore and 66 stroke is insanely torque and makes all power under 10k with max power at 9300 running an s20 cam. I can lug it at 2500 rpm.

Race my 190FDX on the weekend and came out ontop with a win overall.. Motor is really strong and has enough torque to pull a train!! I duno about mapping as its on the lowest mapping as its about 2.5hrs old..

I don't know about putting big cylinders in it as I think it might do the same thing the YX motirs do when there big bored "KAPOWW!" So leaving it standard I think is good for reliability

Great motor!!

Woo Hoo, My motor has arrived.

I already have a piranha 150 E-start in a 85 ATC 70 and that baby really rips. This motor should be insanely fun in a hardtail ATC 70.

Just picked up my 1904V with a zoke/elka upgrade for $3400 delivered to my frigging door. Popped right off, kind of loud, but oh my God, you better be ready to crack the throttle. This is the fastest pit bike I have ever sat on, rips as long and hard as you want to hold the throttle on. Thanks www.wholesale-cycle.com for the great deal and quality product. Time will tell, but from what I've heard these are real solid. I need to futz with the front brake lever to get it closer to the handlebars, just cuz that's what I'm used to, but everything else in right where it should be. Can't wait to pile up some hours on this. The lead review on this plus some feedback sold this to me and I'm real happy so far.

So i don't know how anyone else's 190's have been holding up but mine has been complete junk. Second time i try and ride the bike at a track the bike kicks back while trying to start it and completely breaks apart the right engine case and messes up the clutch gears as well, and breaks the clutch bearing. I didn't even have ten minutes on the brand new engine. Later i found out from BBR that they don't run the 190 engines anymore because they have had the same issue and even worse out comes like their transmission shafts snapping in half. After i rebuilt my brand New Engine I finally just recently put 8 hours total onto the engine and now its making terrible noises and is burning oil like crazy. i think unfortunately the noises are coming from the transmission on mine because the top end and clutch appear to be ok. When i bought the engine i was under the assumption that the engine was being made in Japan, later i found out it its been designed there but made in China. I think there are many Areas of the engine that can be beefed up in order to make it a more reliable engine. Also maybe the more recent engines were in Part a Bad casting? It seems like the older ones held up well and the newer ones all broke. I'm very disappointed with the Daytona 190 Engine and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless the engine was redesigned. I love the power of the engine but think its a very poorly manufactured.

Just realized I started this thread! I'm going over 30 hours on mine with no issues, fires up first kick everytime. The motor has never kicked back at me! Can't wait to get it back out this weekend.

Also running this motor on a fully built z50 with 0 issues as well. I've been riding and racing these motors for 2 years now and have never had 1 problem.

My Daytona 190 kicks back all the time, I talked to you guys at whole sale cycle and you said don't use gas or choke while starting the bike, i didn't and it still kicks back, the de-comp looks like it is functioning properly. i don't know what to do. I want to try and build a billet case for it and strengthen up the weak spots by the clutch bearing and around other important areas, but thats going to take a while.

I have over 60hrs on my motor with zero problems, they will kick you back if you try to kick them to fast cuz of the spring on the decomp is a little soft. If you just kick them slow and smoothly it will fire with out a problem. The billet case isn't worth the weight, I made one so I could run the cr80 6 speed trans and clucth, the damn thing weighed so much it wasn't worth it. If you want to beef it up just weld all the weak places up with 5052 rod and dunk it in could water to bring back the temper, it's lighter and just as strong with a 1/16 of the weight, plus it's about 300 bucks cheaper in aluminum.

Another great day of riding on the piranha 190. Just put on the new PWK33 and it ran great, a little lean on top but other than that the bike ran flawless. Will throw a bigger main and post a follow video! Have been running vp U4.4 , if you run 93 then the jetting should be perfect that comes with the kit.

You can purchase the PWK33 manifold kit from wholesale-cycle.
