If you swap the stator plate you should swap the fly wheel. Unless the flywheels are identical. Is your yellow wire connected to anything?

 

The yellow wire comes out of stator wire harness and splits into 2 yellow wires that go into a plug that had a green wire in it as well but thr green wire is just a lead dangling there not hooked up to anything and the plug is not plugged in to anything. I'm hoping this plug is meant to plug into a 12v regulator/rectifier

 

Yes that plug is for your lighting coil. I have heard of people running a light with out a voltage regulator but I don't advise it.

Wiring gremlins..... I cant get the trex motor to run with the anima 190 flywheel and stator. No spark the coil is grounded, the cdi is grounded, and the kill switch is grounded. I think the problem is im not sure where the other wire from the killswitch is supposed to go? I cant remember?

 

daytonas use a 1 wire kill switch and you DO NOT want it grounded

 

That's not what the manual shows for the 190 or the 150??? If it only uses one wire where does that get hooked up

 

I'm sorry the manual does show a wire coming from the Cdi for engine kill but it was never used before and my new piranha 190 I don't think used it? So if I hook it up to kills witch that's it don't ground thr other side of switch?

 

Im not sure how to wire it if you have a 2 wire kill switch(i think thats what you are saying you have right?) If that is the case, you need to see if the switch grounds when the button is opened or pushed(there are two types of kill switches, one that grounds the hot, the other simply breaks the hot so no power flows) ive had my own issues with this, i had a 4 wheeler that was opposite of the honda 50 and used the key ignition from the honda. It would run when the key was in the off position and you couldnt take the key out when you turned it off lol. These engines use the type that when the wire for the kill switch is grounded then it kill spark. The easy way to check that its your kill switch is to simply unplug the kill switch wire from your harness and check for spark.

Ok on my bike absolutely nothing has changed except for the stator and flywheel this is on my anima 190. Has anyone did this swap they can please help me out so I can take my wife riding tomorrow I have everything wired as it was before I wrote everything down it is all pretty much color for color the pick up coil wires I connected to the other pickup coil wires and the two wires that were left I wired them to the other two wires I have tried switching all four wires every which way and get no spark on NEITHER motor? Will this even work Wholesale Cycle said people do it all the time?

 

Just switched my old stator back to my bike and it won't run with it WTF!!! I've changed nothing else this is crazy

 

I got the T Rex running but no luck on my 190... I replaced the coil and wire. I guess im going to have to buy a new stator and CDI because im not sure which is screwed up. Weird thing is all i need was pull the flywheel and stator off the bike and tried the trex one and when i couldnt get it to work i bolted mine back in and know no spark.

 

So no matter what, everything you tried there is no spark on this machine. But the cdi and stator work on another bike? If so it sounds like a bad ground. What ever you find please post it i am curious.

 

What i found is that the stator some how went bad from removing it from the bike???WTF So i went to Wholesale Cycle and the guys there Hooked me up with a new one no problem! Bike fired on first kick. So i never did get the trex stator to work and ended up putting my stator back in. It sucks because the trex stator and flywheel Is SOOOO much nicer than a anima stator and flywheel. Wish it would have worked or someone on here that has done it before would have given me some insight on how to make it work.

 

The stator somehow went bad from me taking it off my 190 Wholesale hooked me up with a new one and it fired up first kick never could get the t Rex one to work

 

What bike is your 190 in? A 50 or 110? I'm thinking about getting one for my full mod 50.
