I've been trying to race my crf100 for a while now can't find anywhere they don't call them pit bikes. My question is why can't you race a crf 100 or a crf80 in a pit bike class just because you don't have a 12 inch wheel. I don't see what's the difference when you mod the heck out of a klx 110 to be sitting higher then a crf 100 and have longer and stiffer suspension. And a way bigger motor. Just getting frustrated with people saying it's not a pit bike. I'm about to start a campaign to make them race in a pitbike race. Who will support me if I make a website? And your guys thoughts. Please spread the word and have more of a pit bike series

Where are you located and what exact series is not allowing you to race ?
In general its a playbike and most Pit bike events have classes for playbikes
I know we do ...

In classic terms-- no. It's a Trail or Play bike. The way the scene has gone-- you'd think they'd let almost anything into the races. I don't even use the Pit bike name anymore, because it seems like it brings back the hangover of 2008 or so, when the scene was way over filled with expensive parts, bikes, etc, and nobody wanting to race them. I call what we do "Mini MX" these days. --L*64

My 110 with stock gearing stock motor clutch kit exhaust and pod filter. I would keep up with the crfs around corners. But longer straights it would walk the 110.

To me, it doesn't matter what its classified as. get enough people on them and race em! I have a group that rides/races 100's because to us they are the cheapest mini bike an adult can ride. out here, we had the 150f class which is air cooled, 4 stroke, 2 valve engines. crf150f will beat the 100 down the straight, but the 100 will out corner the 150f.
To me, that's the fun about mini bikes. cheap and equal(ish)
