Yes, they don't fit.
No, they don't bolt on.
Yes, the 85 to 2002 XR bigger mini's are some of Honda's ugliest bikes ever.
CR80 82 - 96 fenders are a near bolt on, you may have to rework rear fender mildly (drill two holes). The front fender makes a nice difference to appearance, the rear is almost exactly the same. Depending on the year, the CR had the same colour cod as the XR, Torch Red. The 85 to 89? number plates are miles nicer than the 1990? and up.
Monster & or Red Bull decals will only make people want to through stones at you. If you must flower up your bike, get some vintage Fox, SuperTrapp or DG decals. If you don't know who/what these are, go get some Monster or Red Bull decals.
The stock IRC rubber bands do nothing for the ensemble. A set of cheap Kenda Milville (sp?) tires will give the impression you mean business and be no worse than the IRCs.
Painted handle bars and those sissy bark busters? C'mon. Ditch the OE china bling controls and waffle grips too, a set of black GP mini levers, Scott grips and Renthal CR high bend bars give the front end a whole new feel for about $100.
The OE chain and sprocket set are boring enough to make a nun convert.
Stance makes a huge difference, from turd to word. Get the tail off the ground and all of a sudden they 'appear' much more aggressive. The Aussie lift is now tried and true.
Spindly forks and stupidly large wheels/tires (xr100) are like knees and elbows on a growing teenager. 14" rear and 17" front from a CR80 help a tonne and handle loads better. CR80 forks and mod swing arm. If you've got a mig welder with argon and a parts CR80 frame, you're in business for very little money...
