clutch slipage??

today i was riding my 70 and i was gunning it in first then shifted to second and after like 10 feet all u hear and see is me slowing down and the motor got real loud cause it went to 1st. so i changed my oil and it got a little bit better but same crap. can i just put heavy duty clutch springs and it wont happen anymore?

another way is u could buy kevlar plates and stiff springs from xtreme racing ron, i got some for like 35 bucks and its the same as the tb pretty much except its not the whole assembly, but if u have 5 xtra minutes u can put the plates and springs in...

also if u do that, try putting in only 2 stiff springs and 2 stock, thats what i did and it makes it alot better so it dont shift as damn hard...

Actually wrong the TB HD Auto clutch will not work in a 70. The 70's primary gear and drive gear are differnt and cause play in the gears. If you can find a xr50 drive gear it will work or just go with the TB manual clutch which works.
