get the powroll super high compression, with a decent dratv cam and call it a day. that 15:1 will give you so much toruqe itll feel like an 88. I cant stress enough how nice powroll products are. there expensive for a reason.

sweet ill do that. do i need a better cam chain as well? or will the stock one work fine?

Leave the stock cam in it.

A lot depends on the power you want out of it. You can make 50cc run very very well with the right work. Do you like torque or rpm? shoot me a pm if you figure out exactly what you want out of it.

get the 16 pak, you use the weights to adjust the point of engagement. so the extra weights will allow you to fine tune your clutch and let the revs build a bit before it fully locks in.

Order youre piston here (the 15:1 )

POWROLL PRODUCTS FOR THE CRF50 & XR50

get this cam, i wouldnt go z40 route with springs as itll be too much.

TBQ_RACE_CAM Z50R_92_TO_99 XR50_CRF50 XR70_CRF70 ALL_TRX90'S STYLE (200033)

do i need valve springs as well?

this is the list i have gathered so far...

1. Powroll Super High Compression piston kit

2. Powroll Ti 16 pack clutch weights

3. Powroll HD cam chain

4. Dr.ATV cam

5. porting and polishing head and carb

6. HD valve springs

thats it so far, but i still want more.

possibilities, do i need or not?

1. kitaco inner rotor

2. CR tranny

3. HD auto clutch

4. knifing the crank

I'd be tempted to run a 70 head, if it wouln't be noticed. Have the head ported, right, if you can't run the 70 one.

A Powroll 15:1 is gonna give more power, but you'll have to watch the fuel.

Lighten the flywheel. Slot the pickup. Retard, not advance.

I think the stock carb can be bored, have to get back with you on that in a week or so.

A new camchain, at least. Maybe convert to manual adjuster.

Ceramic crank bearings, light oil, the usual stuff.

A shedding coating on the crank would likely do more than knife-edging.

The CR 3 speed is expensive, but will mean a couple lengths in a drag race. Every straight on the track is a drag race;)

if you want to go all out listen to Firepower. but if you want to stay simple just do what i posted along with the prting and plishing. knife edging. I would say just leave the stock camchain but get the hd valvesprings from dratv if you plan on building a revver. you dont want valves floating. also that stock clutch should be more than adequate(sp)

yeah i think firepower is just gonna build it for me...i talked to him a little about it. he def. knows his sh!t.

I have been thinking of doing the same type of build. Keeping the build TRUE 50cc and doing upgrades. Does any have more information on the stock carb bore and polish? Pictures of a finished carb would be great. Also how would a lightened flywheel work with this basic setup?

In the UK we have a similar class where you have to use the the existing head and are not allowed stroker cranks or manual clutches. I'm looking for advice on any further modifications I could make to the engine. At the moment the engine spec is as follows:

17mm Fast 50's carb kit

High-lift Cam

Kitaco Rotor kit

Powroll 13:1 piston (although I do have a 15:1 that I will change to next time I replace the piston)

Close ratio gearbox

Posh Racing ignition coil and iridium plug

Ported and polished, also head gasket modified so that the gasket is thinner, and so the compression ratio is increased.

Please if you can suggest any further modifications I would be very grateful.
