WOW! All those parts that I have had scattered across my basement really are gunna come together as some pretty nice minis! Davmo... I know you are just getting started, but I already cannot thank you enough! I almost feel like they are going to be my christmas presents! U really have no idea how CRAZY EXCITED this is going to make my lil guy!

As for the other fellow members of planetminis, please chime in with your thoughts for these bikes. I am sure several members should recall seeing most of the pieces that comprise these two bikes as I have tried to purchase most everything from you all. I am not extensively versed with these minis and have a lot to learn, so all your help and comments are well received.

OK. Just spoke to davmo and pervis over the phone and these two guys are full steam ahead. We ended up deciding to go with an other set of zokes and pro tapers on the superpro so that the two bikes would match up even better. And beings how pervis just so happened to have a nice set laying around, it just made sense. For tomorrow, my mission will be to procure two new sets of white plastics and personalized graphics from magik sc. No prob... I am on it! Pervis has a couple of leads on a second motor, but that is still up in the air as of now. I am sure tomorrow will shine more light on this topic. If anyone has a complete motor and/or exhaust that you are looking to part with, we are lookin for options.

Lookin GOOOOOODDDDDDD davmo!!!!!!!! ^^^^^^^^^

Payment sent via paypal to pervis for the zokes and bars.
Payment sent via paypal to elixur for the d section exhaust.

Thanks both of u for the deals! Now both bikes will have matching zokes, pro taper bars, and d section exhaust. Oh man these are going to be SICK!

I arrived back home to MO this evening and am reading through this entire thread with my son. I wish you all could see the smile on his face! He is amazed at the progress so far and says he can't believe it's really happening. At this point I am convenced he thought they would be in pieces in the basement FOREVER. After all, it has been two years!

We don't speak klx yet.. I got davmo some klx language learning CDs I'm making him sleep w headphones on if he ever sleeps so he gets fluent real fast. He's fluent in takegawa and Honda, but not kawasucki. And I'm pretty much like a dog chasing my tail without davmos help. Thank God he's teaching me the basics. It'll be going soon. Just minor problems we hope.

Just had another thought pass thru this crazy head of mine. How wide are the pro taper bars that we sent and the ones we picked up from pervis? Is there enough room to "trim" each end of them with a pipe cutter and still get the grips, levers, kill switch, and throttle on them? Some of the aftermarket bars are quite a bit wider that the stock bars on these fifties and although that works good for us older guys, they are a bit wide for a 10 year old boy. Whatcha think?

Thanks man! This is one of the coolest things I have been a part of in a LONG time! And you are RIGHT ON about how freakin awesome it is for complete strangers to come together for one common good. Just the adventure alone has been epic... then there's the resulting two baddass bikes and the smiles on my lil boys face on top of that!!! Yep... ... planetminis.com ROCKS!!!

Hey Davmo, I was looking around on ebay and found another new silver bbr skidplate. Pervis was telling me they may not longer be available through bbr in silver and when I went to their site it appeared he is correct. Whats your opinion with a different color on the perimeter? The new plastics are white with white, black, and red graphics. Go with a black or red skidplate from bbr, or get the silver on off of ebay?

What came through ur mind that a fox float would fit on a superpro mx style swingarm? lmao

Also why not throw that daytona 150 motor in the perimeter frame, thats a better fit for that bike even though im not fond of them motors much except for the dohc version and i would think be the bike the young kid would work his way up to and use for the track and for the super pro bike i would throw the smaller tb 108 motor in that and use that as the backyard bike and getting used to riding these bikes first...

Just my 2 cents
