Bike alarm in Honda Monkey

Hey all,
Has anyone ever installed a security alarm in their Monkey or Gorilla. I recently had my bike stolen, and now I just bought a new one and I want to have some kind of peace of mind while the bike is parked on the street. I'm thinking a combination of big chain (or a disk lock) + alarm system with motion detector will probably keep the bike as safe as possible. Obviously anyone determined enough will still take it.

My question is, has anyone installed an alarm system in their Monkey or Gorilla. I'm thinking to get a 'Gorilla Alarm System' (coincidental naming as it has nothing specific to do with a Honda Gorilla)?

You can the system here:
Gorilla Cycle Alarms - Quality Motorcycle Alarms

There isn't a lot of room on a Monkey so I'm wondering if it's even possible to find space to install it.

Thanks in advance

Philip

I was think about this to, im just gonna bring a chain with me and a lock on the go and keep in inside at night, theirs no way to secure your bike with out inclosing it or chaining it down. You should get a big concrete cube with a metal lope you can chain your bike to so no one can walk off with your bike

Disc lock alarm is good as there is no place for alarm System in z50
Better if you hook the bike with smthng solid Next to it

Keep in mind all these stuff will delay a thief from taking it only
As they are using vans to drop the bike and go
Always try to park the bike somewhere hidden
And when driving look behind you sometime a thief will track you to see were
U ganna park
Just be careful

^^I agree. Nothing will stop a motivated and tooled up thief, but that's not to say it's hopeless. An alarm might startle a thief for a minute, but it's useless unless you can get to your bike pretty quick. Disc locks are nice for a bigger bike, but something this size can just be picked up and carried away. Something like this passed through the frame to a lamp post or something would be great, but it says it's only available in Europe. Maybe you could find a dealer that would ship it? As Sous said, your best bet is to keep it hidden, maybe a garage or shed. If that's not an option, around in back of where you live perhaps. Your best bet is to limit who sees it thus reducing the amount of people who might want it.
