I havent looked into them much. I do really like the idea of a Takegawa Super head although it is expensive.

 

Like GEEZER said, TB parts are good quality. Your gonna PAY$$$$ for the tak parts. You won't be disappointed with TB parts we have won a lot of races using TB parts with no failures!

 

What did you do about the head? Did you just put a bigger Cam or did you port it etc?

Not sure about cheap but if u want tak stuff usually that doesn't = cheap hahaha

I know its not cheap, but I did read somewhere about someone who had bought a kit for a couple hundred $ cheaper by going with someone else. Cant seem to find it anymore though.

If just a bore kit TB is the way to go. If an aftermarket head is your desire Tak is the way to go. Last september I was looking for one and was basically laughed at, and was told at this time of year nobody keeps them on the shelf as the seasons almost over. An order from Webike had it on its way quickly.

I would really like the Tak superhead for my build. I guess its not mandatory though. Still looking at options

I don't have experience with TB's stuff, but have a buddy with the Takegawa kit (120cc), and another that had the Kitaco SE kit (115 or 120, can't remember). If I was buying a kit today, Takegawa wins hands down. Webike Japan is almost certainly going to be cheapest, but I believe they're out of stock on the Tak heads until December or so. I've dealt with MiniMob, and they're good people, just a bit higher in price.

 

Agreed the Kitaco kit is junk. Webike pricing is good its the shipping that kills it.

 

spend the money and get the super head. you won't be disappointed. webike is the place to go for the kit and minimob is the place to go for replacement parts.
