We got the first one in the states and the first samples. I think they have improved but they are not my first choice. However, we have a bunch coming for guys that like them. Not bad in stock form buy IMO others have more potential and are stronger, that is why we passed on them for our production.

we have one torn apart and measured .

they have a 59 stroke x 56.4 bore

but they use a shorter rod so the standard 78mm tall cylinders fit (unlike the 140cc)

most all other specs are similar jialing 124cc and lifan 120/138/140cc

the new style igmition covers are ready to go into production and we should see them soon

see link

TboltUSA

and yes they are in the new thump mmid sized 150cc bike we will have it in our store next week

Yeah I was just looking at one of those 30mins ago. An Australian dealer sent me some pics and specs. They have ditched the oil sling for a filter and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bigger clutch lurking in there. There could be more changes in there than just that.

That is a different engine config again...I see know that basically there were early releases of the Lifan 150 which are different from the production models available now. These have the daytona style clutch cover, oil filter (no sling) and lighter flywheel with adjustable ignition. Also apparently shorter rod, so may be using shorter skirt piston as well. This will mean (presuming the pin is 15mm) if a 140 crank with the longer rod is swappable then the 13mm pin height Akunar pistons will drop right in. So resleeved and cases bored to accept 59mm piston will be a cinch.

I am just hoping and wondering if they have beefed the clutch any. I will cheer if they have...

EDIT- I see also that the cases are beefed up fron the 140. Especially the mounts and also more support around the kickstart shaft. Kickstart gears and things like this are also areas needed to be checked for improvements.

For me personally, is because I have building 59 x 59 Lifans and am tooled up for the case boring, cutting the stock BVH seats to 30 and 24, flycutting the nouvo pistons and have good cam masters developed for them. I have heads and parts aplenty. So an improved version with swappable parts is a good thing. It means everyone with an old Lifan has spares and can keep moving upgrades to new motors and rebuild with Akunar parts.$$$
