Hi guys, I’m brand new to the forum and need some advice.
A couple of of years ago I bought a ‘78 XR75 that was in pretty sad state, a couple of years later it’s stunning, at least I think so. The problem is the engine is tired and I need advice on which way o go. I have a budget of about $500. Please know this is simply a pretty toy and will not be used in competition.
Its hard to start, when it does run it fouls the plug pretty quickly, it smokes a little too. I was thinking a big bore kit with new pistons, cylinder head and valve gear but can’t find one for the a ‘78 XR75. Either that or have the whole top end overhauled.
Any thoughts.
