The part# in your pic. is a universal lever, it must be modded like mine to fit.

I didn't have to mod my ASV C5 shorty I put on my SDG/Pitster/Brand X/NSR50 front master two years ago, it just bolted up. I'll try one of the one's Pitster is selling specific for the X4s this week.

The sdg master and the x4 master are different. I had one on my old 50 and it fit with no problems.

P.S. I can't find a part# for the pitster lever on ASV's site..?

It's a crappy picture but I think you can get the idea.

What I don't understand is that is the direction my plunger is on the stock lever, but the stock lever has a little nib bolted in it that holds the plunger in place. How would that big aluminum bump on the lever hold the plunger in place?

I thought I should drill and tap a hole in the asv lever to screw the part from the stock lever into.

Matt, you saying a Honda OEM lever? The ASV lever's don't list a part specific to the CRF, only a universal that is supposed to fit all late model Japanese motocrossers.

well im saying that i crashed and snapped the stocker and i had a MSR lever for my 450 and it bolted right on with no mods at all

so if you get one that will work on a crf450 it will work on a pitster

The ASV universal one works great, I just used a m5 hex head to push the plunger in the master, you can even use the cup piece that is in the rubber boot of your master cylinder right now!!

Here is a better option though, it is cheap (20.00 on ebay) and in my opinion works better and has more re-build options. Sorry I don't have a close up view, just enlarge the photo and you will see what I mean.

The unbreakable ones taht come onthe Orion AGB 29 work real good! Cost a fraction of what the ASV levers cost. Someone should give them a shot, cant go wrong with the price. If they dont work, PM me and I'll buy them (First person and first set only. I dont need 100 levers...)

What is that a new master cylinder? What kind of bike is it from?

Ding Ding!! correct!!

That is off a 2005 yz 125. You can use one from most any MX bike that uses Nissin master cylinder (CR, CRF, YZ, YZF, KX, KXF, etc. anything but KTM). I found this master on e-bay for 20.00. You have to look around but deals can be found, I suggest looking for "not as popular" bikes like the Kawi KDX or KLX 200 or 300, or Yamaha TTR 225s'. Bikes that use the same front master as the MX bikes usually sell parts for less. You can do a buy it now on a MX master for around 40.00 though. Then for a brake line just order a KX 65 one, or take your stock Pitster line to a place that will crimp a new end on it, or order up a bolt on fitting from your local moto shop.

Thanks Shane,

I should have thought to look on my KDX. I ended up drilling and tapping the lever so I could put in the adjuster that holds the little plunger piece in place and it seems to be just fine. If it doesn't work out I'll try the japanese cylinder.
