Personally I have run both clutch and 110s and 50s, what you guys are saying couldn't be further from reality. I feel bad for the clutch class bikes ie crf150fs because they are so slow a 134 klx will kill a 175 crf. But the classes do need a fixin.

A. Make 110 production back to 143cc limit

B. Make 110 open again and unlimited whatever you want matter of fact call it 110 unlimited

C. Same for 50 open as mentioned for 110 open

D. Sportsman should be allowed to run Whatever besides crf150s

E. Clutch class back to last years format

Now I Like the saturdays on the list and I like that theres 10 rounds, but now I ran 110 production last year on a stocker against fast 143s and what have you now I get a big bore and I am screwed no class to really fit in. And I dont want to go manual clutch and run clutch class. I think the 110 stock class should be ditched and make them man up and run production like I did all last year.

Alphado I do not care about what class I have to ride in, the Sportsman Class just fit, as the first time I've been on a bike since 1987 was the night up at RamJam. I know that I am not going to win any races, this is just about fun to me. But, I would not feel comfortable running in the Clutch Class. As the rules stand, I can not even run 50 open. - John

Maybe He's Not Aware Of The X4 Coming Out. I Raced At Tvland 3 Times Last Year And There Was Only Five People In 110 Open Each Time I Ran. Now That The Days Of The High $$$$$$ Built 110's Are Coming To An End Due To Pitster And Trail Bikes, There Will Me Many More People Entering The Open Ranks.

the 50 open class has always had a 126cc limit check the classes for the lube that is what we ran last year. as for sportsman there were alot of midsize open bikes in that class look in minimoto issue 6 i see alot of kx front ends and disc brakes and alot of people were running tb 143 kits and swingarms but it was still a fun class this will be all worked out and nobody is going to be left out in the cold without a class to run

Well at least I know you guys didn't quit over the winter.

Sorry for the confusion. Initially I just wanted to get the schedule out to you guys. Here are the actual class rules. Earlier when I made some changes I just cut and pasted some 2 year old rules so thats why the displacements are off. In the open and midsize class you can have any allowable bore sold as long as you keep the stock cases. The 136 was from when that was the largest size displacement possible to buy.

For the midsize open. If you guys want to keep the class we need to get more riders. Last year we averaged around 6 riders and I know a couple that aren't coming so it makes it hard to justify. Isn't the pittster a glorified 50. If you put a 10" wheel on it it's allowed in the open 50 class. I'm not trying to upset or turn anyone away. Making a class to suit certain guys would actually be for the few pitsters that show. If more of you guys are coming then we will have a mid open class BUT if 3 riders show up then what makes sense is to run bikes with clutches in the "clutch class".

As for sportsman the rule posted by Buydos for sportsman is production based. That means no clutch. That class was originally intended for guys wanting fun and not spending a bundle on their machine.

I like the feedback that has been created here so lets work to create something that can be fun and affordable for everyone. It's not the AMA series where things are what they are, where you have no say.

I want to fit everyone in. Give me more feedback and we can adjust.

How many of you out there will be coming in the midsize open class?

The old pitsters were glorified 50s but the x4s shouldnt be allowed to run with 50s that would be unfair. The x4 is like a built 110 and should run 110 open so maybe they will get enough riders. But the only problem with running 110 mod bikes in clutch class is the 150fs are about 10-14 horse but weigh 220 and the mod 110s are 15+ horse and about 75 pounds lighter. Even production 110s will smoke the clutch bikes. thats the only problem that i can see

I Dont Care What The Rules Are But I Think The 35y And Older Class Should Be Able To Run A Clutch So John And I Can Duke It Out To See Who Is Slower Lol.
i mean come on john is what 44 and rode a 50 for the first time like 2 weeks ago or something....ahaha...LET EM RACE

i have a x4 coming and planning to run midsize open i ran sportsman last year on a stock ssr 50 open bike. the x4 is a true midsize open bike a whole new bike i agree the mid size open class was the smallest class and gabany isn't riding this year so let's build up this class this year. i plan to run every race this year. as for the sportsman class let's keep it to any bike for the older riders or slower riders that have a hard time in their specific classes. and if there are riders that would be competitive in a different class move them to that class
