I BEEN THINKING REAL HARD ON GETTING ONE OF THOSE EL HEFFE SHOCKS. BUT THE NAME OF IT JUST TURNS ME OFF. NO OFFENCE TO THE MEXICANS OR LATINS. IS IT MADE IN MEXICO OR SOMETHING? IF IT WAS CALLED THE BIG AMERICAN I WOULD OF BOUGHT 2 BY NOW

Doesnt works make a shock for aftermarket swingarms that is longer then the one for stock swingarms? Im not 100% sure ive just heard that, is it true? I want to get a shock and im kinda leaning towards the works becuase it is dialed in to my weight and stuff, but im going to be using the stock frame/swingarm for a litle while and the geting a +1 chromo frame and a +2 or +1 chromo swingarm a litle bit later and i dont want to have to buy a new shock.

I guess the works shock isn't any good for you then

You know what? You are right I have been lying to everyone on this board this whole time. I am really a slow kid with lots of money and an obsession with 50s. But remember, if I am slow, that makes you really slow. I'm just kidding you Josh. I am just mad that you didnt go into my friends chat session the other day. Don't worry about it that kid is a looser. If you werent sponsored by DPM and you actaully tried a Works Performance shock, I believe you will love it. It doesn't have much adjustibility but you get it valved to your weight before you get it.(free)

For those of you who say you like the El jefe, is the pro model much better then the freeride model? is it really worth the extra $100? I want one but i dont really want to spend the extra money unless its actually alot nicer.

www.stavmtrspts.com

They have the difference between the 2. I've never ridden the free ride model. Only the pro one, and I love it.

from the stav motorsports page

The "Free Ride" model is the same unit less the external compression adjuster. The El Jefe is internally revalveable and owner serviceable. Construction features include the 32mm Hard Anodized Aluminum body that offers more oil volume than any other shock in it's class, Remote reservoir and oversized bladder cap to keep it cool, MX style bumper stop, oversized 14mm Hard Chrome Ground & Polished shaft, locking spring retainer and adjusting nuts

Yah he is right the only difference between the two is the external compresion adjuster, U can change rebound internally u dont have to have the pro ride to get the same performance. The pro ride is for us lazy ppl who r willing to spend a extra 100 bucks just to twist a knob. lol
